When you do something stupid like grab a really hot pan while at work, but don't notice until it's off the burners or counter (only thing holding it up is you) do you drop it immediately, or do you just suffer until you can set it down?

<_< I do the latter, despite the pain, something about all the work I just put into cooking that food won't let me just drop it, even if I really should.

This is not a good idea. There was this one time I was carrying a hot plate for a customer and I had no where to set it down whilst my fingers were literally melting, so I ran to their table at the far end of the restaurant put the plates down and plunged my hand in the guys coke >_>;

I can agree. Always thought religion and politic threads are the worst possible thing for a forum.

Flamecore at least gave us some laughs.

Depends on how i feel that day... the right answer is to drop it right away normally only do that if its really hot, that and most of my palms and fingers don't really burn any more...

Mine don't burn easily, but I have this bad habbit of throwing our heaviest skillet (a big one at that) in the broiler to finish up whatever I'm cooking, and then pulling it out with my bare hands..

Yeh that would do it, the skin thickens over time and it takes longer to burn though that thickened skin to cause a burn that will actually blister or even for you to feel the pain for it...
