First of the month. Usually you have to drive extra cautiously near the end of the month, as police do (depending on the mass of the metropolitan area) have a quota to meet. Sounds like your cops are making up for lost time though.
Or perhaps there's some major crime conspiracy going down that's been unraveling to a breaking point that you've stumbled upon :o

Starting a fresh game of FFIX makes me feel so warm.
Though it starts with a very colorful and light hearted nature, the escalating drama and witness of genocide really crushed me when I first played it. Luckily it all ends on a very happy note.
