I always wondered what the purpose of those legendary fishes are. Do you turn them in for goodies from an NPC or are they just NPC vendor fodder?

Just fish for ebisu owners to make some gil off of, so npc

That's kinda disappointing. I was hoping they'd make some like "legendary" food dishes with those as an ingredient or at least one of those annoying 0.1% chance of something really awesome quests similar to getting the Ebisu in the first place.

Hmmm, like a super lure that never breaks? That'd be pretty rad.
But even then, I'd prefer something a little more unique to being a fisher, other than simply promoting the constant reuse of fishing over and over again.

It's honestly a nice change. I like beau / snow and all but yea, too many fishers in the same spot.
