My parents aren't particularly nosy, but my mom is always bugging me about a girlfriend.

Not sure if she's worried about me being happy, or just wants another grandkid.

My parents tell me they don't want grandchildren for a while. My sister is so over the top with dating and wanting kids that they don't bother me about anything. It's convenient.

Yeah... I want to ask her sometime why one near-clone of me wasn't enough.

Still on the fence about even wanting another. I guess it would more depend on who I end up with and what we both decide we want.

I just told my parents I have no intent on dating Until I finish my BA and probably my Masters. Basically I wont even be dating until I'm 28 so kids wont eve be considered until I'm around 30.

Mine buy all the disney movies with the intent of watching them with their grandkids which pritty much explains their stance on my sister and I having kids... Pritty sure my sister hates kids and I'm not really sure how I feel about having them. Would depend alot on the other person assuming I ever find one. If I did go for kids I'd lean towards adoption since theres too so many kids out there with out families that I don't really feel the need to make another one on purpose. Not really sure where they would stand on that either XD

I could understand them questioning it if you were in the habit of commenting on the attractiveness of the opposite gender, but I'm pretty sure I've never seen you do that on here. I don't imagine you're that much different in real life.

Potentially, but as it stands I'm so focused on school that I feel I'd either neglect the person I'm with or neglect my studies. I don't want that to happen. if I were living on campus and only had school to worry about sure that's fine, but having school and bills etc I'd rather focus on sorting my own life out.

And they were understanding, never made me feel bad about it, however, when I get asked from time to time if I changed my mind it shows they never truely accepted it.

When I lived with my parents and didn't work, I was like that a lot. In the summer when I didn't have school, I could go days without speaking.

I still don't talk much, living on my own, since talking to myself would make me look a bit more crazy than I already seem to be.

And yes, I've always wondered about Flavin's use of ellipsis, too. I read all his posts as if he's depressed. :/
