I think the area got blind sided tbh, I mean around here there's still entire roads blocked by trees, I almost hit one otw home as I didn't see it until I was up on it.

I can think of at least 3 roads with lines down, and 2 with trees blocking, considering I only use about 10 roads, you do the probability. (and 1 of the roads is a major roadway).

Only six people died here so I'm glad it wasn't worse. The storm came out of nowhere.. the weather people didn't warn us about it -.- or ours didn't anyway.

I'm seriously researching other power alternatives now, solar power, windmills, generators. ***was too crazy not to.

Looks like I might get hit by it too. Hopefully, it decides to miss Philly.

At least for days like yesterday and today when it was sunny, and *** hot, solar would be rather great to have, to at least run the A/C or something.

Could always put a barrel on the roof for heated water.

Yeah somehow my work nor the place I'm at right now fully lost power, it flickered but it stayed on). Couple thousand dollars worth of food in the freezer and the family is away on vacation, would have been very bad...

Having a generator in a pinch would be great too, but remember if a gas station is out of power, you won't be able to pump gas, or if their fuel depot is out of power, they won't be able to get a delivery, which is why my work was out of regular/mid grade yesterday...

everyone should have a disaster relief strategy, at least in the winter people can bundle together and wrap blankets, during the summer heat you're at the mercy of "mother nature" vs technology.

Hoagies have superior bread. Other than the bread, they are pretty much the same.
