and yes I have to agree with Leo. F the double meld part...

double edit: OK since Im 50 gold, anybody got an idea for wtf I can try to 5x meld on for my crown? I keep blowing crazy amounts of gil and blowing stuff up on the double or triple part. I've yet to successfully trip meld anything >_<

Just get a level 50 piece of anything-

Get 5 Tier 1 materias with the lowest stat possible I think.

Also if you didn't know, HQ equipment get higher melding chances for example:

double meld +5%
triple +4%
Quad +3%
Quint ??% (haven't got that far yet lol)

yeah the last thing I tried to meld on an HQ piece, was an HQ crown (rank like 45 or some jazz) and it blew up on the 47% chance to double meld -_-

I do think the games RNG is flawed though, too many times have I seen a HQ chance of 80%+ on a synth go into double down and blow up :X
