It's like 2 am why are you people eating?!?!

because it's not 2am everywhere and some of us have weird sleep schedules. i just made a cajun turkey wrap. was delicous.

it's only 11:50pm here...while the kids eat 3-4 times a day, us grown ups only eat once a day with the occasional midnight snack mixed in (for us dinner is like breakfast cause that's the one meal we eat every day and midnight snacks are like lunch on the rare occasion that they happen) besides, we won't get to bed til around 4am or 5am, Felos doesn't have to work tomorrow or wednesday woot!

yeah, we kinda can't afford to eat more then that and still have enough for the kids to eat like they should, we're used to it.

I love having 2 days off in a row now. I used to absolutely hate it, but I definitely find ways to preoccupy myself (building this comp sure is a nice time sink lol.... Need to find me some thermal compound now that my parts are in).

Edit:Random question Novaria. If you can't really afford it, can't you get food stamps to help? Though pride in taking gov't assistance is another issue altogether, that which I 100% understand.

no i love food lol im just used to the upper middle class life i suppose :P

we're on food stamps we get $200 a month, but that's not enough to feed 5 people (3 adults 2 quickly growing kids) 3 meals a day.

We've gotten so used to it though that it's really no big deal. Though I will say it doesn't do very great things for the metabolism >.<

And I think making sacrifices to ensure your little ones don't go without, is extremely noble, and awesome.

lol, yeah, my husband's 21 yr old brother (Artificalmonkey) is living with us while he goes to college. Apparently college kids in Oregon can't get foodstamps if college is all they do (which I think is completely lame) and I won't force him to get a job because his school schedule is insane and I'm more proud of him then I can ever be because of how hard he is working at everything.

He pays rent and what not with his financial aid but we have to use that for rent and utilities along with Felos's paychecks, so, even though foodstamps are meant to be nothing but a supplement, what we get buys our entire month's worth of food.

I used to get $196 as a single male when i was 19 o.o

yeah my little brother who is 23 gets $200 all on his own...

apparently the problem is that Felos makes too much GROSS income at his job.

He technically Grosses $2500 or so a month but he only brings home $900 a month (we made some very serious financial mistakes in the early years and are paying for them now, suffice it to say do NOT use a credit card you get in the mail no matter how much you may need diapers, food, or rent if you know for a fact you can't pay the bill...also going to the hospital without insurance will suck you dry 5-10 years later >.< oh and for the love of rhubarb do NOT go to college and not finish!)

Anyway our monthly bills (rent, power, water, sewer, garbage, natural gas) total $1300 so...yeah...but we're coming to the end of the tunnel and can see light, most of the debts are in their final stages of repayment, we're looking at being able to get our tax refunds again in a year or two max and the garnishments on Felos's paychecks will be gone in about a year...considering we've been in this rut for about 8years we're pretty dog gone stoked about it! lol)

All of a sudden I have a tickled fancy to watch a bunch of gangster movies or shows. Never seen Goodfellas or Sopranos, so I guess I'll start with those.

ugh felos the horrible tv nazi is watching the season finale of game of thrones and i can't watch it because i'm so uber behind (I've only seen the entirety of the first episode...it was enough to make me love it unconditionally though...but felos the horrible tv nazi keeps snagging the tv to watch all the shows i'm behind on every night without ever giving me a chance in rhubarb to catch up!)

Will do, been so caught up with Dexter, but I think I'll try something different. Something about the whole code of ethics, demeanor of business in family based gangs in New York, New Jersey and whatnot just fascinates the hell out of me. Dexter isn't really sad. It's definitely exciting and puts you on edge pretty frequently. It's definitely one of those root for the anti-hero kind of shows. But unfortunately if it has any flaw it's kind of a repeating pattern of dilemmas of him simply trying not to get caught lol. Either way it's awesome and worth checking out.
