300 words? Easy peasy. However, I've always ALWAYS hated poetry structure and all that crap. Really, the only styles I know about are iambic pentameter and blank verse. This sounds less like analyzing the poem and more about doing a close reading. And alas, I haven't read that poem either, so I can't offer help. But good luck on it.

What, the poem itself doesn't do anything for you? Well, does the poem's rhyming structure give it a feel at all? Or perhaps the syllables allow it to flow a certain way. Is it abrupt allowing the poem to be blunt, or does it feel more musical so it could be considered an ode of some sort? I guess what they're saying is focus less on the subject matter and just see if the flow of the poem gives you any inclination as to the mood. I know that sounds odd, but it'd help to say the poem out loud.
