Olive oil is great, but my mother doesn't understand how to use oil and thus never buys anything but canola and vegetable oil.

I only use veg. oil when I'm going to be frying something.. I'd highly prefer peanut oil, but it's so damn expensive.. It's like 4-5x the cost of veg. oil.

@Iro, advice on what?

I like olive oil for stirfry but I'm with Slip on the vegetable oil/peanut oil.

Might depend on what your cooking but that is good to start with, once it is heated it will spread out more so you don't need to cover the whole bottom of the pan.

Nah, she doesn't realize you can use different oils and just uses vegetable oil or canola oil or mixes the two together. :|

I have more taste than she does is all, I guess...

But she has made disgusting messes sometimes.

Sometimes you would use more oil then others depending on what you were going for. If it was mainly just to keep it from sticking you would only use a bit but if you were say frying a chicken breast you can give it a bit more of a crust by giving a bit of depth to the oil... there is a term for when you use lots of it in a pan as opposed to just a bit but it escapes me atm

I didn't want to believe they were RMT tbh D: Even though they spoke in broken english and spammed FC parties all day/night.. they still seemed nice. 400k seems a bit steep too but he gave me 7 hours so it was worth it.

Only reason I could see someone buying gil is to finish a relic or mythic or whatever. Gil is hella easy to make.
