You know since we're speaking of threads. Something I've never understood what is the true difference between Ni and random thoughts they serve the same purpose no?

random thoughts was originally literally a thread of random thoughts you had atm, and it just evolved into a chat thread
well random is supposed to be just thoughts and ni was made ages ago as the main general anythinng kinda chat but it changed its feel over the time. i guess ni is more personal in a way
I see not sure which I belong in then. Been here since before Ni was Ni though I'm far from an old cat. Think I'll just lurk both for awhile till I find another niche.

Way I saw it is Ni was more of a "clique" like in high school. Catering mostly to those that were already "in", and less friendly for new comers withing to be involved too. While random is much more open and well, random.
nowadays ni is the morning/working hours crowd and rt is the evening/late night crowd
i started using random cuz i could say what ever was on my mind and not expect a response, be made fun of, or judged i suppose lol though i still use ni a little lol
I used to be a Ni man myself, I don't know what changed.
I like random because I can post stuff like this:

Well not to say that they weren't friendly. I simply meant that Ni had it's own group of regulars which became the general medium of communication in that thread, while here I get to see a few new faces every now and then and the general discussion is more open and friendly to people outside of the most prolific posters.

and to add Ina, it wasnt so friendly for new people before, itmay have changed. many people that were regulars dont post anymore. so im sure its changed for accepting new people to chat generally
