Not that I know of. I also used a cracked version of W7. The one time it updated on me I had to reformat that drive. (This is why 2 harddrives is awesome. If you have to reformat you don't lose much)

/sigh so what do i do now? find my cracked DVD again and just start from scratch? Will it prompt me to format on the restart? I'm a complete retard when it comes to computers.

Iunno, the SSS rank ghosts I downloaded from a Dissidia fansite were pretty fun. :x
Can also set up ghosts to make farming rare drops easier once you have at least one of the items. :3

Put in the dvd, reboot your PC. You will get the boot screen as it's restarting. If you don't then go into your bios and set boot to your CD Drive and do it again.

When it starts select which drive you are using and follow the instructions.

When you finish and windows is back up, FIRST THING YOU MUST DO is turn off automatic updates. Manually go into updates and near the bottom you'll find the option that says something like "used to verify windows against illegitimate copies' uncheck that one. Go through the other options. You don't really need any of the microsoft security updates. Service packs and all that go ahead and install.

I'm really not that into farming items. The most fun I've had in that game is using "Official" rules. So No equip, no accessories, no summons. Can use EX-mode but EX-Revenge and the actual EX-Burst are off limits. Leads to some of the most epic matches. :x

Is the second Dissidia better? I found the first one weird with the story mode. The fighting was pretty good but eh

When future updates hit, it won't check legitimacy automatically then? It'll just install service packs as normal? And really thx a lot for the help thus far.

I tried to figure out how to get the replay data off my psp for you but if theres a way I couldn't figure it out XD... Google only wants to tell me how to do it with the original psp >.>

I like the fighting more in 012 simply because of the assist system. I feel it added a lot more to the game in terms of combos, the added characters don't really add too much to the game, but that's not to say they're not just as fun as the other characters.

Overall I think 012 is better than the first. Though story wise it's not that much different. It does do a good job of explaining the events leading up to the first game as well as the event after. But the "chessboard" system is still there which is kinda meh to most people. Though the exploring of the "open" environment was kind of neat.

Oh no, I knew you were. XP I already had a slight advantage over you due to having my high level abilities so there was no point in making you take off equipment for our matches. If I was really worried about it I would have set the rule set for it which automatically blocks that stuff for me. :x

Uhhh... I think in gallery mode or wherever you watch your replays, there's an option to convert to avi. Do that and it'll save it as an avi file to your memory stick which you can then copy over to your PC using the usual USB connection... I think. :x

Yeah the chessboard thing was kinda annoying. Is the story good though? I never really completed all the story modes in the first :/ I just did random fights.

I thought it was slightly better than the first. If you didn't play through the first you may enjoy 012's even more because it is a prequel, and also has the original story for you to play through after you finish the 012 story. Which if I remember correctly has some added bits to it. Then there's also a nice story for what happens after that.

Also, Ina. I'm assuming you're using a PSP Go or whatever it's called? I know with the older ones you simply convert the file in game (it can take awhile) and then slap the memory stick into your computer. :x

Duodecim is great. The boardgame system from the first is back, but only in dungeons/gateways. IMO the world map more than makes up for it.
012 story is much better than the original, but you get to play through that after completing 012 anyway. Then you get to play through Scenario 000 - Confessions of the Creator, which is much more open world than the previous two. Also get access to "quests" which fill in gaps in the stories. Really great parts. Cloud is badass in his. No boardgame, no world map, just fights.
The fighting system is much more refined from the first one too. Some characters have been nerfed/buffed and BALANCEd out the ***. Some are still broken to ***if you know how to use them (Exdeath's Almagest counter, and Tifa's feint come to mind first).
Overall, way better than the first. :3

Tifa's feint is actually pretty easy to work around as long as you watch your opponent. Almagest... I had some annoyances with it when I was using the level 100 Exdeath leveling trick. But other than that I've never really had a whole lot of trouble with him. :x

Tifa's feint is easy to dodge when you get used to it, yeah. But at first it's a right punch in the ***.
With Exdeath, Almagest isn't the problem, but that counter/block/whateverthefuck that teleports him right up your *** and uses Almagest with no charge time is. ***gets old fast. :x
