I tried smoking cigarettes a long time ago and never felt anything like that. Made it really easy to quit.

Cigarettes are *** nasty. I refuse to kiss anyone after they've smoked. Not limited to lips! Ever kiss on someone's neck after they've been smoking all day? So *** nasty. JUST NO.

Cigarettes did nothing for me. Though the flavor was earthy and robust, it didn't make up for how nasty it was to otherwise smoke em in the first place. Haven't tried cigars. Don't really intend to either unless I'm going to dress up as The Comedian for Halloween.
Shisha however is lighter and more flavorful since the tobacco isn't ignited and is cured in sugar and other flavors. Plus the nature of it is more social and fun. It's not easy to explain but it provides a degree of supplemented entertainment. It's simply something to enjoy passively as you chitchat, listen to music, play video games, watch a movie, whatever.

every time friends come in after smoking cigarettes I make some sort of comment about the smell >:
I can't stand any aspect of smoking. It smells nasty, tastes even nastier and there's all those health defects. Unfortunately, every time my friends want me to do some acting for them, my character always smokes. I don't inhale, but it's taken me a bit to be able to hold it in my throat a moment before letting it out. You know, to make it look like I actually enjoy it.

Yeah cigs and cigars smell nasty. But hookah actually has a kind of nice smell to it. Kind of like those funky middle eastern antique shops full of incense and other oddities.
I was just being ironic.
Hookah isn't nearly as harsh to inhale, its funny it actually feels cold. The taste good too depending on the flavor.

I put ice in my bowl. It gives a refreshing chill to the smoke. It complements other flavors like mint pretty well too.

Not gonna lie chillin' on the beach in Hawaii with some beers and hookah at sunset or night is the definition of relaxation.
