Random Thoughts.....What are you thinking?
Well, I've read some Transcendentalist poetry before. Honestly, I don't mind it. What sucked was Paradise Lost... Hoo boy, that's cryptic.
mkay, my car got jacked. >:/ Blaming these cats.
Hey Narshe, you ever play Milles Bornes before? That's a fun game.
IMO American Lit doesn't get bearable until you get to like the Great Gatsby and Of Mice and Men. But both of those are tiny books and you don't discuss them too long.
Nupe! Had to Wiki it lol looks kinda hard
Of Mice and Men was depressing. So was the Grapes of Wrath. But necessary, I suppose. Neither of them were half so depressing as that darn Lord of the Flies. That book actually gave me nightmares. D:
But Magnuss probably doesn't have to read Lord of the Flies. I hope. xD Odin.Liela said: » Of Mice and Men was depressing. So was the Grapes of Wrath. But necessary, I suppose. I hope. xD Slaughterhouse 5 creeped me out...a lot. Kurt Vonnegut actually passed away shortly after I read that book, I was somewhat sad because it was well written...just parts of it were off the wall. I do love the historic side though. I read all three of those in high school. Of Mice and Men was my favorite, the other two... okay, "read" is such a subjective word... >.>
Narshe, it's a little tough to understand at first, but once you do, it's awesome. Edit: Other two being Lord of the Flies and The Great Gatsby. So how bout that Harry Potter?!
:D? Bismarck.Cicada said: » So how bout that Harry Potter?! :D? Very well written, not great literature in a scholarly sense, but very well written and a great story. I never read them.. I lied :( The last book I read was um..
I'm just realizing now. Phasers look like dust busters. It'd be hard to be scared of someone who looks like they're about to remove my dust bunnies.
I think honestly one of the favorite books I read in high school was "The Things They Carried" by Tim O'Brien. Its a war novel, but his writing is amazing.
Edit: He is an American author, I can totally mention him in this discussion! Its time for me to go to bed. I hope you feel better, Scruffs.

It was alright, not my favorite. Personally one of the last books I read that made me think was 'Jarhead' Great book, movie sucks. /pushes Uri down some stairs
