Not really a strike if you're still consuming the goods..
I'm probably one of the biggest pirates on this site, so don't take it the wrong way or anything.. I'm just pointing it out.
if I'm refusing to be a customer it is, technically what I'm pirating is ancient though...
I can't seem to get into new stuff...
but I'm refusing to go to movies/buy them, and I haven't bought a cd in years anyway.
I haven't bought a movie or went to them in years, I haven't bought music since I first learned of Napster.
I rarely buy games that are on PC when I'm only interested in single player, the only thing that makes me buy a game is console exclusive games and when I want the multiplayer.
Software I literally never buy, aside from windows. I only buy it because it's so central to a working computer, and I really don't need the added headache of figuring out problems.. Plus, I keep the same OS for years and year and years.. I'm not one of those who just upgrade every time they put out a new OS..
i had planned to stay with xp for a while, but now that i have this computer with windows 7, i really like it, it makes thing more convenient i think
get my OS's legally for free, well short of my preferred copy of XP, it's a volume license copy with some extra features that I don't see in a lot of other versions, so I just use it.
it actually predates SP2, but all my current copies are slipstreamed with it, lost the older ones, and almost lost it completely, luckily it's ripped now so I just need to burn it again.
I have windows 7 too, and I plan to stick with it for a long time. I was always in love with XP.. I basically started computers with Windows ME, (I had a computer with windows 95, much, much earlier, but I never really saw the appeal in them back then) so going to XP was a huge step forward. I stuck with that, and bought computers with XP.. But eventually, they didn't sell computers with XP anymore, so then I had Vista. I dealt with that one computer for a long time, then it was time to upgrade, computer and operating system.
i had an old packard bell running windows 95 until about 2005... then we got a new computer with windows xp. so i pretty much skipped a lot of the OSs.

i thankfully skipped vista too
LOOOOOOOOOL Vista didn't have ***on ME..
Jesus *** christ.. I wanted to drop kick my computer almost everyday because of ME.. You're sooooo goddamned lucky if you never had it.
idk what could be considered the lesser of those two evils...
98 is what I started on, moved to XP for spider solitaire and cuz it was what I was learning how to use at school. there's things I once knew how to tweak that I've long since forgotten but meh.
I'd have dualboot with XP on my laptop but I couldn't get it to work properly.
looks like I'm going to have to learn how to work with emulation enough to get directx in an opengl container if I want my acceleration.
I'd have to say ME.. I dealt with both for a long time.. I was surprised when I finally got a BSOD on Vista.. It just happened so rarely (the OS was still ***though)
On ME, it would happen at least once every couple of days.
Sometimes I really don't get Microsoft.. I literally picture the board meetings or whatever in my head going:
Okay, so we put out a good strong OS last time, what do we do now?
Oh Oh! I know! Let's make an unstable clusterfuck of an OS!
That is a really good idea.. Let's throw in something that will basically force people to upgrade to this system before we put out another
Yes! Yes! Yes! Oh, and let's give it even more security *** that gets in people's way this year.
Then next year it's like:
Well, that idea didn't work too good, let's go back and do things right this time.

But! We can screw them next time
/awwwwwyeah.jpg face.
I won't be upgrading to it though, it's just a fancy way to display pictures and stuff. It's nice if you care about it, but it's just over thinking the little things I believe.
This whole transition to boxes for all their products is annoying. I get why, but it's still annoying. I don't even like the look of their phone OS or the new Xbox look.
It can do some cool stuff, but that's all it is. A fancy way to display the same information you've always had. Favoring the upcoming craze of touch screen computers and TV's no doubt.

I agree it's annoying but all their stuff will have the same look.
I'm half tempted to reset glitch my 360 so I can use the old look.
8 will be able to handle the arm cpus though so it can be used on tablets, which is their point: to take over more of the market.
Give me holodecks or give me a controller.. Anything in between, *** off.. Lol.
If I wanted to play tennis, I would, if I wanted to snowboard, I would.. I wanted to do anything that Move, Kinnect or Wii does, I would just go out and do it <_<
I just want to play a game.. I'm sorry, I just really hate gimmicks.
I usually sit down to play a game after a day of house bitching, the last thing I want to do is move around more. I want to sit on my *** and relax.
House bitching is my term for house work.. You know the stuff a woman stereotypically does, cooks cleans, whatever. I have worked, and at the end of the day, I still feel as tired and sore as I did while working.. Even if I only spend 4-5 hours doing it, when I'm house bitching, I'm not getting paid, so I do what I can as quickly and effectively as possible, which means I usually work harder per hour than when I was employed to work.
pretty sure they only came with pinball, card games and hover
pipedream, rodents revenge, skifree, and there was this one game that was like an action game and it takes place in a comic book, you go from pane to pane
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
