Last time there was a name listing thread I found out that Serj's name was August. That's one of my favorites! August, Lukas, Nolan, Conrad, Kristian...There are some more. My brain isn't fully functioning ATM. Lorelei, Maragarete...Ummm... Says you! I don't want to add to the Maddisons, Aidens, Ashleys, Jasons, etc. of the world. When I pop out puppies, I'll name them what I damn please! /snaps Aw Zah lol. I prefer unusual names too. There's at least 3 Stephanies on this site alone! Daus and Seha I believe are both named variations of Stephanie. (Oh my name is Steph too in case this is confusing anyone.) And don't even get me started on all the Stevens or Stephens or Steffens in the world! In all my grades of school there were at least 3 Stephens and 2-3 Stephanies, as well as similar-sounding names like Bethany. It drove me absolutely crazy. So I really don't want to give my kids popular or common names, just because I had a popular and common name. I think the two on my list that are the most popular are Jessica and Sophie. I don't personally know anyone else named Jessica, and Sophie itself isn't common, but Sophia is. Because of that, it stays on my list of favorite names but would probably not be the first off my list that I would choose. Having a popular name sucks. On board with you! Katherine is so very very common. I don't know how many I've run into throughout my life so far! (/sigh) I hated it when people used the diminutive Kate, Katy, Katie, or whatever with me! My family actually pronounces it the Germanic way Kat-a-reen-a, so it just gnawed at me when I started school in the US, and was dubbed a "Katie" even though I had been a "Kat" all my life up to that point. Zeus or Odin would be nice names, be it strange to current norm.

If I ever adopt a large dog from the shelter who isn't pre-named, I'd go for a name like Odin, Atlas, Titan, Zeus. Maybe even Hades, although I'd get dirty looks from the extended family for that one, lol. Or if I ever adopt an itty-bitty puny minuscule gray cat, I'd call it Thor just to be a smart-aleck.
I'm a sucker for Norse/Greek myth :<

Don't answer if you don't want to, because it's personal information and none of my bloody business! But what's your name, Spath? I had a miniature rabbit named Thor in high school. :)
Jessica has a bad connotation in Italy.
lol sent 3 texts about my money like 18 hours ago, no response.

Please don't tell me what bad thing my almost-name means! xD Daniel is a superior name
There's no double-meaning, but it's considered a very vulgar and slutty name. Don't ask me why, I don't know the origin of this popular belief. But if that's your name and you come to Italy, just say you're called Jessie and you'll save yourself a laugh in the face.
Troy. Simple, yet uncommon to me. :x Though the few I have met are douchebags of the highest degree. >.>;
Like Dr. Troy? Damn.
