Fun fact. You can major at schools in Swedish. No where outside of the US is the a major in worthless measurements. So in a ratio...the number of people outside Imperial System using countries who understand Imperial system would probably be less than the number of people outside of Sweden who speak Swedish. At one point Sweden had dominate control over Northern Europe and thus a majority of Finland is fluent in Swedish.
Can you major in the Metric system somewhere?

I don't care to take the time...but I'll garuntee you it's more than the number of people outside the USA/Canada/England/Australia that understand Imperial(Which Imma need you to gather for me if were being smart ***). Honestly most Americans can't tell you every aspect of the imperial system. Yet even in situations like medicine...guess what's used? Metric
The US does need to convert it's simple. Bringing about how everyone talks has to learn English makes no sense when you say Americans don't need to convert. Honestly in any field where measurements cross borders the US has already switched and that starts in schools.

Also, guys sticking with a particular measurement system has nothing to do with emotional attachment and mostly to do with the cost of converting things like manufacturing and assembly plants and infastruture. Try and imagine the number of road signs alone that would need to be replaced... and if your mind isn't blown by that try to count all the bolt heads and screws on everything that's been ever made out of metal....

A bird! I love birds! <3 <3 My parents had parakeets when I was growing up. They were cute and darling. A bit noisy, but not so bad as the neighbor's dog. How pretty!

But fishes are still better. I'd take a huge fishtank with lots of gorgeous fish over a pretty bird any day.

Let's see.. She started dating a gang banger, they took his car without permission, then he went and robbed a store, they got in a wreck and caused about $100,000 in damages during the chase, but they both managed to get away, but the cops still have the license plate and they'll be showing up at any minute..

Plus she's pregnant.
