Only because it's not part of the ordinary vocabulary.. You gonna tell me you haven't been tired or high or drunk or whatever and harped on one word and said it over and over in your head til it just sounds stupid? There are a lot of words you can make sound horribly wrong..

EDIT: Hell my wife does that.. And she's about as straight edge as you can get while still married to me.. I've seen her drunk and high, but I can (if I could remember) probably count the times on my fingers..

I hate doing that. I haven't done it in a while, but yeah... over-analyzed words can get insanely annoying.

A lot of words that you can -make- sound horribly wrong, yeah. But that just doesn't roll off the tongue right at all. :< Was just throwing it out there, lol.

I get what you're saying, but it's all in what you're accustomed to.. You start trying to speak another language, you can't really make that roll of the tongue, either.. Same thing in early school when you're still learning how to read, and the teacher asks you to read.. It's forced and just doesn't feel right.. Over time, those words end up being natural..

Also, my wife is going to read the post about repeating words in her head and then do it.. I can 100% guarantee it.. I can make her itch just by repeating "doesn't your <x body part> itch? You want to scratch it, you can feel it and now you're trying to resist it"..

She's so susceptible to the power of suggestion it's almost cute.

Listening to a random hip-hop station on Pandora and I hear the best lyric of the morning...

Yeah hip-hop is weird these days, I am going through another phase (maybe another DNC rap thread in the future) and it seems like a lot has changed and nothing about it all has changed at the same time. One thing I find hilarious though is how the "underground" rappers are all talking about how people like Jay-z and Puff Daddy are sellouts. I just wonder exactly how "underground" are you when your ***is getting played on Pandora?

I mean I'm not exactly a fanboy of Underworld, it's an interesting story, but I'd be far more likely to argue with someone if they said the Transformer movies were bad, or Avatar..

But seriously.. It's the first time I can actually use the term 'scathing review'.. (and probably the first time anyone's used it in it's true fashion in a long time).. I'm not even a fan of the series, it's nothing more than mindless entertainment for me, but I still want to fly to wherever the writer lives and kick him in the teeth..

Depends on the time frame, Just because Pandora plays it, doesn't mean it's the newest ***out there... Tech N9ne was mostly underground, he put out tons of *** (and good ***at that) before he got the time of day from 'mainstream outlets'.. There was a good many years where you only heard about him through word of mouth really.. I would also hold him up as one of the greatest rappers of all time.. It's not about how fast you can sing, or the lyrics you throw in, it's about what's in your heart.. A lot of rappers seem to do it for the money, a lot of his early stuff, you can feel the emotion in what he's saying.. That's why I like him..

Just one example, I mean I'm not saying everything he writes is sad or you feel his pain, just that a lot of what he writes, if you really listen, you can easily equate it to your life..

Immortal Technique is who that line was from I think. I pretty much had it on Eyedea and Abilities for the station and it came up. But yeah good point, a lot of this stuff is older now I think of it so maybe it was underground when they made it and now it just isn't so much.

Was told to "bring something useful". Pup can not only handle 99% of h2h procs (just doesn't have Asuran), and has like 12 or so unique procs if you include automaton WS (which you should). Lovely lol

Just literally got sick of all the self-important, number crunching ***.

One of the last straws for me was wanting to go in an abbyssea party (I mean a month or so after it was released, you know, still plenty of people doing it, but setting up the party is becoming difficult) I have DNC and RDM, but both are already capped (for obvious reasons) I want to level up my BST, which was my 2nd job (I was always a RDM, then found I really loved BST, it was only a year later after I came back from 'quitting' that I discovered DNC was actually my favorite of all the jobs) I wanted to cap off my BST too..

No one wanted to take me.. I wasn't severely underleveled or anything (somewhere between 72-75, max cap the time was 80) I'd sit here watching for an hour the same people shouting for an hour at 17/18 looking for a DD... I'd message them a few times, waiting for them finally 'give up' and go 'okay fine, you're better than nothing'.. Just didn't happen..

Now if this was just a new thing I wouldn't have let it bother me, but this isn't a new thing, it's been going on since the days I was in Valkrum.. I was just sick of it..

Back in Valkrum days people were like "Gotta solo bst, their pets lower our exp!" Which isn't true. :< Back then people thought you were a moron for using haste gear; but still demanded haste.

I remember fighting lizards in the dunes and the puller getting gobbie aggro and trying to zone it only to have another gob link and kill them xD and of course the derpmage healed the puller so they died too and the party just broke up cause no one had RR.
