Hi Zah :D The trip was great! It hasn't snowed much at all this year in Idaho or Montana so the roads were clear the whole way except for on top of the passes. We are loving the looks of the town we'll be moving to, and my husband is excited to start work there! They don't need a technical writer (which is kind of a relief, because I hate being a technical writer) but they would be willing to take me on in assembly. I will probably turn that down, my husband and I have talked it over and the plant is so noisy it's likely to give me a daily headache if I worked there. Picky picky! It was awesome and a half to see our old friends, and their baby is the most precious, darling, pudgy-cheeked little angel in the whole world! The time spent with family was fun too. I'm all psyched to move now, been stalking down houses on Craigslist all day. xD PLUS I got all sorts of cool stuff for Christmas, including a big box of chocolates, a chocolate orange, a tub of mint truffle hot chocolate mix, and a drink mixer. My family knows me and loves me! :D Ramuh.Urial said: » Nowai. Spandex is hotter. lol Fondue! XD Ramuh.Rowland said: » Ramuh.Urial said: » I suppose I'm just a sucker for a good violin part. volkom said: » back from the dentist :D no cavities :3 Leila, that's fantastic! I'm so excited for you and your husband!!! Glad that you have taken a liking to your new hometown. Totally understandable about the assembly job. My BF tried that for a semester during college at Dell. He was just exhausted when he came home. Technical writing does seem really tedious, but I'm sure you'll find something you enjoy...or...ummm...that's tolerable? (I'm convinced that dream jobs are a myth right now.)
I would be doing the same. Have you found some good prospects? I'm settled in my little casa for a while, but I still totally geek out on real estate! I don't know why. It's just so fun! Remix.com, release me from your lookie-loo stranglehold!!! Awww...Got to love those sweet babies! Happy that you had fun with your friends and family, and were able to rake in some goodies. I hate sharing transportation. -_-

What I would like to do is work (or even volunteer) for a no-kill animal shelter or humane society. If I got good enough with my sewing machine, it would be nothing to make the animals beds, pillows, and blankets, especially since so many shelters here have outdoor kennels for the dogs. It gets cold, and their natural fur coat sometimes just isn't enough! If they would let me, I'd also love to do write-ups to try to sell the pets (such as the ones you'd find on petfinder, for example, that say what the pet's temperament is and what kind of home it would be suited for.) But mostly I'd probably be cleaning up poop, and that's ok too. I'm well used to it, and it would make life better for the animals. And we've already established that I'm the Poop Fairy anyways, I believe. xD I'm a total sucker for animals. Starving kids in Africa? Meh. Puppy accidentally ripped his toenail on a rock running around outside? End of the world! /blush. But technical writing, yuck. There's no art in it. You can't even dab a bit of personality into the writing. There's no wiggle room. Engineer tells you what gadget doohicky he's come up with this time, you blather it down on paper. Boring! And ugly and dull. And ever so tedious. But gosh I can't wait to move. Can't wait can't wait can't wait!!! :D :D :D :D hmmmm...
Well I was finally told what happened with my grandpa..
Details could be slightly wrong, but the general idea is the same.. His esophagus ruptured near where it connects to the stomach, and the damage is apparently so bad that doctors can't repair it.. They can't put him on a feeding tube or anything, either, because anything that goes in his stomach is just seeping out and into his blood, which is why he's jaundiced, his liver is starting to fail, and that's why it's inevitable that he's not going to make it. I'm so sorry, Slip. :-( I hope they can at least make his last bit of time comfortable, I hope he's not in pain. That does sound so painful, though! I hope you can be with him at the end, if you'd like to be.
I've pretty much decided not to go.. (and for the record I am now starting to feel it, not quite fighting back tears right now, but I can feel them trying).
My wife and grandma and mother-in-law went earlier today to see him in the hospital and he's just completely out of it, they don't think he even comprehends what's going on, or that any day now, it will be his last. That's part of the reason I don't want to go. I don't want to see him like that. He's being moved to a hospice like tomorrow or something where they'll take care of him til he dies. As for him being in pain and what not, I don't think he is, they have him so highly medicated that he's almost delirious and catatonic from how it was described to me, he wasn't like that before he went in last night, he was perfectly lucid. they have him hopped up on dilaudid (i think thats how its spelled)
You know I'm not much of one for prayer, but I will be thinking about you two, Slip and Annika. It's never an easy thing to lose one of the family.
Oh, Slip! That's terrible. I hope you and your family are okay. It's always heartbreaking seeing a family...errr...anyone on the brink. I'm sorry.
I'm really bad with the subject of death, so I'll let Liela and Zah talk for me. >.<;
Mother ***' Macys sale, Yomizzle How's you?
My *** was thoroughly kicked at fat guy PT. My god, how are those fat guys still fat? That female petty officer whooped our ***, and we didn't even really do running. My lungs started seizing up at the end. Jesus.
