Well it's more than that.. The GYN part refers to gynecologist which as you so eloquently put it, is a 'pussy doctor'.. The OB part is Obstetrician, which refers pretty much to a doctor that delivers babies.

Basically the OBGYN is who initially tests for the pregnancy, and under normal circumstances, if you are pregnant, is the main doctor you'll see right up til the baby is pushed out. They are the ones who monitor the health of child and mother and ***.

my mom works at an gyn, used to be obgyn, but the people running are HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE as *** and dont know how to hand money and the doctors are too busy being rich to want to come in enough to do ob

My mom knows all bout that stuff, she's been a labor division nurse for over 25 years. On top of that she's internationally certified as a Breastfeeding Consultant... which doesn't sound bad ***, but she gets amazing job offers all the time.

Course, all the cool ones that are in places like Italy and England and such get swiped away or she gets stood up. Think it's her age, because generally all they read is, "Internationally certified in what we want." I digress...

Yeah I know all that (well not the in your boot camp part obviously) but everything you ever hear or see always portrays them as like some elite unit that no one can touch, and they're infallible.. So I always have this image in my head when someone mentions them...

No more though.. Now first thing to come to mind is always going to be "Hey, check this out baby!" ~puts gun to head and pulls trigger~ ~bang~"
