Did you know that old 386/486 are worth $100/lb for scrap now?

I've been traveling around to all my old places I lived at, my mom's house, etc. looking for computer scrap. Pentium Pros have a gram of gold in them. So far I found 2, but I know I used to have like 6 of them.

Wow, really? Makes me wanna go dig up stuff in my grandfather's storage. It's a gold mine in there, I bet! (He worked for NASA, ultimate nerd storage go!)

I've been talking to this CEO of a local computer business and basically the both of us now have gone into the side business of scrapping old parts. Hell pretty much any DIMM, like PC66-PC133 is worth like $70/lb. Even the old ceramic Pentiums are a decent amount, I think like $35/lb.

There's definitely money to be made in it. Gold, Silver, Platinum, and others are all in old electronics if you know where to look and more importantly know who will buy it.

EDIT: and of course copper!
