Random Thoughts.....What Are You Thinking?

This happends to me sometimes as well, tbh though the closer skyrim gets the less excited for it i get... no idea why

the only games I felt/feel hyped up for, Gears of War3, Soul Calibur 5 & Mass Effect 3

Only game that's ever happened to me with was FFXIV. I loved the BETA, when it was a BETA.. When I got the exact same game I was like "Okay, I guess they'll be fixing it over the next month, might as well get started busting *** on my character so I won't have to when the game is actually a game."

6+ months later, same game more or less, nothing really added or changed.

The website I "pre-ordered' skyrim on accidentally sent it a few early (and I got it the other day) and well... It's glitchy.

Getting hyped for a game normally doesn't do anything to it for me... Mainly because I make sure not to expect things that arnt going to be there (IE FF13 they told us most of the game would be linear, people still went into it expecting otherwise)

I've been looking for a job since May, as most of you probably know. And since May, the same job opening has come up no fewer than four times. And I apply to it every single time, and every single time they tell me they will get back to me within a week, and they never do, so I call back after about 8-10 days, and without fail they tell me it's been filled and they just neglected to call me as they promised. (I'm fully qualified for the job, btw, but because of the reputation of the company, I'm not fully convinced that I want it. But it's a paycheck!)

Anyways, this morning that same job popped up on the site again. Lol? I can't decide if they are so picky that they fire everyone they hire, or if they are so bad that everyone they hire quits within a few weeks.

Should I put myself through the torture of applying for it again? It's a hotel, and was the site of a murder on the first day of school, has a reputation for a very high turnover rate, and has never once followed through on their promise to call within a week. All negatives. But on the plus side, it's a breakfast hostess position so I'd be working from 5am to 10am and have the rest of the day off, every day. That's a really nice schedule! Plus we'll be moving again in August, so having a high turnover rate isn't too bad. I plan to quit any job I get in August anyways. But then again, my husband said I probably should wait until after Christmas to apply anywhere else to be sure that we can leave for Christmas/Thanksgiving to see his family. His mom is having surgery on the 30th, we need to be around to help out. BUT! Then again, with their turnover rate, it's completely possible that this same job will be up again after Christmas. >.> Decisions...

You are probably right, Kalyna. Much as I'd love a 5am-10am schedule, their turnover rate looks really bad. Really bad!

It doesn't count in the first month? :o So if I went there and they fired me / I left within a month, I wouldn't have to put that on my resume and next job application? Oh my...

GoW3 I wasn't since I haven't beat the first 2, MW3 and BF3 (meh another generic war game imo) SC5 I may get ... ME3 I kinda am looking forward to but not hyped up and excited, Skyrim looks good but I heard it was so so... uhhhh am I missing any?


Oh yeah Bioshock: Infinite? That I actually am looking forward to also but I still need to beat 2.

@Liela - if it's not a big deal to get something right away, don't bother with it until after christmas. just my opinion

also it kinda reeks of poor management, or possibly some harassment or something going on, I'd avoid it if possible

I don't usually play Fighters cause I suck. But for Ezio... I think I'll do it. XP At least I've got some experience with the SoulCalibur series.
