Could be worse, it takes me probably a full 30-45 seconds to get mine off, and it takes considerable force and lubrication, and I can only do it at certain times (some days my finger is fatter than others). The spot where my ring sits on my finger, is a full 1/4 inch or more thinner, my finger has gotten fatter over the years and grown around the damned thing. Makes it nearly impossible to get off.

Same thing happened to my grandpa too, but he absolutely cannot take it off anymore. The only way he could get it off, is to cut it off, and he's refused to do it for 20+ years now that I know of.

Have had this necklace on for most of my life, only taking it off to change the chain as I outgrew them. I forget it's there usually unless I'm expressly thinking about it. You definitely get used to that kind of stuff after a while.

For all practical purposes, it becomes part of the body, just like mine is doing now, it just grows around it. Growth is restricted, so it doesn't grow on the inside of the band, just on either side of the ring.

I once pierced my lip over a period of months, because someone told me you could do it by just putting on a tight fitting ring and eventually a hole would form, well it did, but it didn't go straight through my lip perpendicular, from the top of my bottom lip down to about the gum line was a tunnel where my lip had grown around the ring. I'm not afraid to pierce my lip (I used to do it like a party trick, actually.. Even have a video of it) but I wanted to test the theory.

Got it from my uncle on the day I was born, if what I've been told all my life can be believed, so it's kinda special to me. 22 karat cross + 22 karat portrait of Saint Anthony. Not religious, just sentimental.

I never really thought about having to get new jewelery when losing weight. :/ I really like this ring, but it's not exactly something you go through the trouble of getting it resized.

You know they make things that make bigger rings fit fine, right? It's a lot easier to make a big ring fit a small finger than a big finger fit a small ring. There are alternatives for the former, the only option for the latter is to lose weight or have it resized.

Mine was a necklace my grandmother bought when she went on vacation in Italy about 12 years ago. Silver heart on a silver chain, simple yet beautiful! I miss it. :/
