I think you have a point, but you are forgetting something:
40 years old and 300 lbs youre gonna die by 50.
40 years old taking ozempic, it might kill you by 50.
40 years old taking ozempic and dying by 50, but at least living 40 to 50 in a relatively acceptable weight
or
40 years old with 300lb dying at 50, but being an obese the entire time.
Like everything, it is a complex question, and the worse factors are mostly the prejudice from those who dont use, plus the rupture of the american culture "no pain, no gain".
The discussion is never about pros and cons, but about paradigms.
The major problem here is the misuse. Like everything humankind invent, some *** tend to abuse and exploit it. surely there will be a lot who wuold use it to keep the gluttony life, and not just to reestablish a healthy weight.
Maybe if there werent those who exploit, the discussion could have a higher level, but that is not the case.
You cant talk about meds without considering the people exploiting it, and those who benefits from those explotations.
