What I meant is that learn by doing is usually more effective than watching videos. For example, when you mentioned sketchbook app the first thing I did was download it out of curiosity and spend 5 min press/try every botton on the UI and see their functions. then if I want to figure out specific function like import image but unable find the button, I googled "how to import image in sketchbook" and use the information.

After that I spend the next 15 min sketch a fan art of Richter Belmont from Castlevania.

So within 20 min I accomplished 2 things: figured out how to use sketchbook app and produced 1 sketch using it.

(Though I uninstalled the app immediately after lol)

I wouldn't watch a 3 hour tutorial before starting anything at all. Because I know watching long tutorials is less effective way to learn than doing things with hand.

The same can be said for UI/UX. I have never taken any UX courses but I have build web sites and apps before. I wouldn't spend 10 months on UX course before building my first web site, I would build a web site or app first and do a user experience test to see what part of UX needs improvement, then search for UX related knowledge to find ways to improve it.

This way the knowledge gained applied faster with real experience and I can filter out useless parts that doesn't aid the current task.

Imo, if you can learn by doing and filter out unrelated knowledge but only focus on useful ones for the current task, you can learn faster.

That is one of the oldest discussions: the ones who learn by doing, and the ones who learn by studying.

I personally am in the sido of learning by studying, because I believe that people need to do things properly. Maybe you can press the buttons faster and learn one thing or another, but I think you just end up using a technique full of vices.

Truth is, the answer for me is that learning is somewhat an iterative process: you study for the base foundations, apply in practice to figure the pitfall, then go back to study to achieve a new level of perception about the topic, then you expand to intermediate level.

About sketchbook, Im still trying to figure about my pen. I bought a new one, but I think I will also buy those cheap Wacoms that have no screen: if i can get used to draw while properly sitted in my chair, then I will have less body issues than drawing in a tablet with screen.

Still, while trying the app, I got annoying about color palletes hiding, digital pen customizations so I need to rewatch the videos to use them in synergy.

Ok that's fair. I still don't see myself spending hours watching tutorials before I do at least one thing with my hand. But if you feel the other way works better, then so be it.

I have never played sex games and I have zero interest in it. I have linked a few titles on this forum, that does not mean I've played it. I've read about some of those titles and listened to people review it, but I didn't play it nor interested.

The usual narrative games that I play are not sex-based, such as disco Elysum or 13 sentinel rim. IDK why you insist I played porn games lol.

Also if men openly said they like boobs then women often view that men as pervert and avoid them, if women say they like *** men will see that women as *** and easy target then approach her more.

You asked what games are "good games" so I made a list of games with positive reviews on steam. It's a list with games getting positive reviews, not a list of games that I played.

So your source is invalid!

I'm not digging through a 3000 page thread, you know what these games are because you've said you play romance story games in the past.

I've played persona 3, Sakura war and stardew valley. I guess those count as romance games since you can date NPC? But they aren't sex games. There are no sex scenes nor porn image after you successfully complete a romance quest in those games.

Romance game mechanic and sexual content are 2 very different things.

Oh And I've also played star ocean 3 which also has a romance system(kinda). No sex scenes though.

Or does Witcher 2 count? There are sex scenes in witcher games but people rarely call Witcher "sex games" since porn isn't the main point in those cutscenes.
