I tend to be hit and miss, I'll try anything I think tastes good. I used to be picky, as in if something didn't look good, I didn't eat it. But after a few slaps in the face due to that, I tend to just try anything.
Then again I try to avoid chocolate/sugary candies/pop, I lost one of my molars. :c

Yeah I learned when I was young that looks != taste, so I try anything too. :<
That's totally different. I cracked two teeth and had to get two root canals after eating a Gyro, so I absolutely refuse to eat those now. Sugary/chocolate stuff hurt my teeth now (I don't think it's cavities because I got it checked out recently...) so I try and avoid that stuff like the plague too.
Never actually had captain crunch cereal, only the taru.
Oh gawd I don't know why I still eat Captain Crunch.
I always think "Maybe this time I can eat it so carefully I won't hurt my mouth"

Also Maraschino cherries taste completely different from normal un-pickled cherries.

Night doesn't like avocado either. And he likes broccoli. wat.
My like for avocado is situational though. Sushi and weird avocado onion salads my mom makes. I don't like avocados or onions so idk. o_o;
