Ive been watching videos reviewing many complex stories.

Seems like most "complex" story nowadays involves a daughter having to deal with a father that either molest or have molested the daughter in her younger years.

Idk, Im slowing becoming desensitivized by this, if every single story portrait that situation...

At the moment, I’m thinking a lot about work-related things, a lot of pressure there, experienced. I’ve played very little lately, FFXI, I’m wondering if I should completely quit my nursing job, I’ve experienced so much crap. I’m on partial disability pension, so I only work 50% of the time, financially I’d manage even without work, I don’t know what I’d do. I like my job and I like the clients, but the work community is awful. Well, yeah, these are the kinds of things I’m thinking about."

I was always someone who really despise comunist ideas, but over time, I started to understand few conceptsand actually agree with some of them.

One of them was the notion that "work" is something degradating. For the most of my live I endorsed the "standard" way of life, having a family, having a job that you would perform your entire productive life there, retire when very old and live with your savings.

Nowadays though the concept of "working your entire productive life in a single place" was already demolished. You work where you pay more, companies dont see you as a "part", but as a pawn.

Also, in practice, when you accept your salary, you are not only selling your service. You are also selling your allegiance toward one of a couple of bosses, because you also need to hear and obey many of someones commmands.

Having that for like 15 years (my current productive life), I kinda see the point of thinking this kind of thing as degradating: without a salary, you wouldnt ever need to obey to someone you have no relationship outside company. Your boss is on your very same level outside company. Still, when you step inside your job, your need to give up many of your own positions to become a "vassal" of someone strictly for money.

Also, maybe you could use your productive life to genereta mode knowledge, you create more useful things, to be more independant both in body and spirit.

So, nowaday I do agree working is a bad concept. It is not different of prostitution, and anyone can understand how degratating its . You are not selling your body, but selling your freedom, your capacity, your potential.

All that to say, yeah, if I had the chance to keep my current expenses for my entire life without working, I would surely retire asap. Im not one of those who feel empty if not working. I would just work something I really feel like, none would be bpssing around me, and my produtions would be entirely managed by me.

That is one part of freedom I still want to restore for me.

You already have the freedom to make that choice, and you don't need to retire to start a business. So what's stopping you?

I played that one long ago.

Last year I also tried to pick again Dragon Quest 6, but damn... I wasnt aware how much repulse I have for turn based combat.

I dont watch movies, but i enjoy watching videos that analyze them.

Yesterday I watched a couple discussing “No country for old man”.

This was highly praised, despite the review of the story per se being relatively simple: just a guy trying to ran away with some found money.

But most of its praise was due the bad guy Anton Chigurh. People were discussing who exotic and unique he was. Not a person but a force of nature.

Idk, I can definitely see the selling point of him, but I also think the biggest characteristic of him was his unique design. Definitively I never saw a dangerous and complex guy using that haircut. Its like a contrast: such cruelty, such violence hidden behind such “harmless” haircut.

Im sure Chigurh would lose like 50% of his appeal if he was sinple bald

It would take away something if he was just a generic bald assassin. Like put "Hitman" in that role it becomes super formulaic.

I can't ever imagine selling an account you put 10+ years into, dunno how people can do that, especially not for a few k. That's like selling your cat or something.


He is a psychopath character and we live in the most soft modern times in history, pretty much every movie now is made for pu**ies. Showing a character that is a stone cold monster is fascinating to people. He kills strangers, kills people over a flip of a coin and kills women.

It's not much different than documentaries about serial killers that women in particular seem fascinated in, they aren't special or strong individuals usually. They are just people who see no value in human life or empathy.

The movie wasn't that good tbh, but he was a decent badguy. The weapons he uses makes him more unique too, the cattle bolt gun thing and the heavy suppressed gun.

After a long road, finally I completed my first course of Angular. I still want to read one book of it before feeling like on a good level to use it profissionally, but the next course on my list is the UX from Coursera.

This one particular is urgent, as this one cost money for every month Im not completing it. I subscribed to that course back in octomber/november, but have not been serious in studying it.

Now is the time to finish UX and save a couple of dollars monthly.

Total agreement. I haven't played XI in over 10 years yet if I could sell my account for what it would have been worth at XI's peak I still never would.

It's that my bank makes me, 2FA AND do security question AND have photo ID AND still login after.

Like, pick one. Next month they'll require blood and stool.

Then the session times out and you have to start over. lol
