At least you have a choice between to different parties, and when the leader steps down for some reason you know who will take over.

In the UK both parties are near exactly the same, and if the leader steps down they party can elect popo the clown if they want and there is nothing the population can do about it.

The Libs and the NDP are for all intents and purposes the same party. That said, the Cons are also the same party as them just the other wing of it. In other words our Cons are just Progressives driving the speed limit. Pierre is a better option but it really is like being forced to eat diarrhea but maybe it's on a plate or directly in your mouth.

Thats really all it boils down to, whos the best option of whats available.

It probably wont even matter anyways. Whenever election time rolls around, after they delay it because "economy emergency due to Trump" (another "conspiracy theory") they're just going to do the exact same thing they've done in Romania, France, Germany, etc, the same thing they did to Ruby Dhalla and Chandra Arya...they'll just find some reason to disqualify the election or form a supermajority coalition and give themselves the win by default.

But your parliamentary system means that every now and then a third, fourth, and even a fifth party is needed for a coalition government. This insures that occasionally new ideas are introduced into your government. You at least have hopes that the new ideas are better ideas and they might even get adopted.

But damn... if youre even considering you will end up in a situation where you gonna engage physically against someone else, there are only 2 things that you need for that moment:

1. Run fast. Obviously the very best option is running away as fast as you can.
2. But if you cant ran away... then you better have a gun instead of relying on punches. At least there is a chance the other side give up when they see the weapon.

But worst thing case is that the other person also have a gun, when, in that situation, you wouldnt be in a worst situation if you only had melee attacks available.

So I can see a single situation where punching the other would actually improve your chances of getting away unscathed

went to the Microcenter at 11 am on Saturday from a tip I got from the Microcenter discord. UPS was unloading so I waited by the byopc for 30mins - felt like such a loser

met up with another 3 dudes from the discord - Microcenter management gave us the side eye when we told them why we were there, which I said, "I know. This is my only day off. I'd rather be home drinking a C4 energy drink playing monster hunter." Whole place laughed, the 9070xt clapped from the shelf, and they mentioned they had 6 5090s that just came in.

swiped the Amex and went home. new card doesn't fit in my case. buy a new case. MOBO DIES (seems a bent a pin because I didn't want to remove the CPU cooler cuz I didn't have more thermal paste. I waited till Sunday morning, got a cheap AM5 board along with a kyrosheet. Fix my issue, posted and up and running with those fake *** frames.

Now I need to RMA my motherboard and get some case fans along with a better 12v adaper since the one that came with it is ugly as ***.

Maybe I'm an outlier, but I actually like brain freezes from cold stuff.

I was in so much pain prior to some recent dental work, it was actually relief when it happened.

Square Enix had to be forced to fund Nier Automata, because one of the executives threatened to quit if they didn't.

They also have done nothing with it since the first game was such a success.

Almost everything they had wanted to make and cared about they ruined, or the games did poorly or bare minimum.

They are also ruining FF14 (and ff11), because the unit that was made to support them has been using all the best developers in that unit to make crappy other games nobody cares about.

Yeah I am seeing an alarming amount of young people just saying *** it and waiting for expensive painful emergencies before ever going to the dentist now, screw any preventative measures to keep life pain free anymore.

I've been paying for HQ+1 dental coverage for 3 dependents in the new country for years now but family still refuses to go unless horrible pain

I think it would have been far worse if I did that. The real hold up was getting an ENT specialist to see me on short notice. No idea why the hell that has to take so long.

-Impact causes root to die
-Gets root canal.
-Suddenly starts getting sinus/ear infections.
-End up suffering from tinnitus for a week or two.. Possibly from the antibiotics/meds. Waking up hearing "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" was kinda ***.
-Find out that root of tooth perforated sinus canal.
-Wait 2 weeks for an ENT to schedule a MRI...
-Waited 2 weeks to get a second opinion because the first ENT decided to wait 2 weeks to give me test results. Scheduled in advance but they were booked..
-Finally get oral surgery scheduled a week later. Tooth gets extracted.. Went through the root canal for nothing.
-Pay for a bone graft and sinus repair.. Bone graft was out of pocket..
-Implant will be a thing in the future.. More $$$$

Ugh it sucked so bad in so many ways lol. Also caused a TMJ flare up which sucks.

Dental Insurance in the US is kind of a joke. I basically maxed out my insurance for the year, and still spent $1500 out of pocket.

I quit paying for it. I had been with Delta Dental for years and they made a policy change during a year rollover that required me to have a six month waiting period before they'd cover anything. The kicker is they billed me for the six month period.

I'm not *** paying whatever it is per month for six months so they can cover...nothing. I quit buying it b/c we mostly have no major tooth problems and our dentist is pretty conservative about not making you get stuff you don't need. It was costing me more per year and I can cover the emergencies if needed. It barely covered anything anyway.

Still pay $2100/mo for health insurance and that's for the privilege of paying >$20k/yr out of pocket for medical bills. The healthcare.gov estimator estimated that our out of pocket expenses this year will be $35k. That's fun.

I'm not sure he would, at all. It's hard to tell from the outside but those just look like infrastructure development operations. As in, stuff to do political warfare in other countries. You can't just say "I'm doing political warfare in your country", but if you're giving it infrastructure development, help the climate!!!1, launder some money and do influence stuff, then he's probably all for it.

Im still so frustrated by a result I got from a chat bot in whatsapp.

It was the number of a clinic that was processing my health exams for work.

I needed those exams as fast as I could. I tried getting them from the clinic site, but it had a weird bug there. So I send a message to the whatsapp to see if I someone could help me.

But it was not a person who answer, It was the chatbot.

The stupid chatbot asked me to type one of the available optiosn.

So it was exams > results. Clean and easy.

The answer was a link to the site results page. The one I just came back from because I wasnt successful to get the results.

To sum up, idiot chatbot made me waste my time to perform worse than an easy search on Google.

From now on, everytime some chatbot or another AI related tool simply return a link, Im sure its garbage. NONE need AI to find something Google is doing for more than a decade.

if the doctor evaluating you does not add high priority/stat priority/urgent priority to any sort of referral they submit to your insurance, it's a very slow process for sure.

and if they do add one of those modifiers, they have to justify the decision medically with multiple steps insurance requires they complete
