You know part of why all entertainment made in the west sucks now? it's cause our creative "talents" have removed all magic and wonder from everything. This is widespread in everything, you can't just have magical cool stuff anymore that isn't explained, and everything has to be grounded in realism. Even down to character designs, that are ruined with this extreme realism mindset.

I remember when George Lucas actually ruined Star Wars for me, it wasn't when Yoda picked up a light saber and started doing acrobatics. It was when he needlessly explained this mysterious thing called the force. You thought Jedi had to train to control and become one with magic energies, and it was ackchyually a bacterial infection and none of the Jedi were special at all and it was all just completely random bro.

The first 3 films took themselves seriously, they have a mystery and wonder about them. The Jedi were viewed as being masters, who trained to control this magical energy nobody really understood but had incredibly respect for.

The prequels crapped over everything and were just comical popcorn flicks, that took nothing seriously.

Everything after that is clown ***made by imbeciles some exec took pity on for virtue single points.

Today’s exercises were intense again, i just ned to repeat next friday to repeat the total load I had last week..

Only problem was that a took some fall damage and was 1mm away from having my thumb broken. Im already on constant ice but its progressing well, at least better than I expected given the fall i had.

What do you think of Squall? Like him? Hate him? Indifferent?

Personally I dont like this troupe of the always annoyed protagonist, always feeling superior than other, always facepalming with any silly thing the others do.

I like more carefree characters than can always make a good pun when the time is right. Or simply being silly without being dumb.

For example, Balthier, Tidus, Locke, Panta.

I think Squall mature and becomes a more approachable person by the end of the game, but still dont quite make me feel empathy towards him.

I see. I thought you might relate to him, especially given his background. But, on the other hand, we sometimes hate to see a reflection of our Jungian shadow in others, causing a negative reaction.

I honestly don't know how I feel about it.

Radiance looks pretty. Though Umbra is kinda prettier. though Umbra is only on like 5 weapons.

The criteria for the aftermaths to be linked to multistep SCs is kinda neat, but it feels like the pay off in damage isn't really amazeballs, and then Radiance consumes the aftermath anyway.

Trying to wrap my head around how best to use it. Kinda glad I did Marsyas the first go around. I think Honor March is honestly more impressive... Heh.

The first upheaval puts AM1 up. AM1 can pop Radiance off a 4 step skillchain, which is what you're doing.

Wait so that means some weapons can do both Radiance and Umbra because their Empy WS has the other property of level 3...!

Sword, Polearm, Gun, Dagger, and Katana can all do both.

Why do guys get excited for new Nvidia graphics cards and waste money on them? Modern games are crap (and even the ones made in Asia that aren't are straight console ports), the entire point of wanting to improve your hardware back in the day was because the games were so good and you wanted to play them in the best way possible.

Imagine wanting to play Starfield and Dragon Age Veilguard in the first place, let alone in 4k on ultra, wtf?

I'm convinced it's just consuming addiction cause people don't know what to spend money on, like women buying their 100th pair of shoes they will never wear.

Afaik many 5090 buyers are scalpers or influencers making unboxing videos. In other words, they are making money from it to begin with, which makes the investment worth it.

Other people probably buy it for AI training too. Or just wants fastest hardware for feelgood reasons.

If everyone buys it for only games you'd see other 50 models sell as well as 5090 but that clearly isn't the case here. The demand for high end graphics in gaming isn't that high, some demand clearly came from somewhere else too.

I bought a 4090 at launch because I wanted the best. I want to leave all my personal FFXI chars logged in and be able to play a AAA game at the same time. I was excited to receive it and see how much better games ran in my own circumstances. In retrospect, I didn't need it; a 4080 would have managed fine.

I didn't bother buying this generation. There are no good AAA games any more, so I guess I fall pretty close to Radial's views now.
