Yeah, i suppose this shouldnt be anything new, but its more noticable at my current work than in the previous one.
When ego starts to affect a more rational decision.
I meam, the senior here is ok by producing many and many problems with his code. But anyone else who try to implement something, then he start criticizing why everyone else isnt doing proper code, why he needs to rewrite everything, how rewriting everything is taking his time and delaying his own work, when shits, while not well written, it works, sure it needs refactoring, but its the own guy who is delaying his own work to refactor someone else code only because he didnt like.
Worse is that when I see someone making mistake in the coding, he cant hide the evil grinning.
I do know, depending who you meet, the experience can improve significantly or just be a desert.
Like anything in life, the prize only comes with the risk.
When i get back, i would still risk meeting bad people/people who dont want to interact at all for a chance of meeting a couple of like minded people that can make all worthwhile.
Tbf you dont need a community.
Meeting even as low as 2 nice people already makes this a whole lot fun
If she needs to get it off her chest to move on, probably no better place than that corner of the forum. At the very least the die hards will show her she made the right decision.
In other news, going to Seattle next week for work, which is fine
Except for the part where I have a 6am flight the day after the Super Bowl. Fine planning, Rooks, this is why you're in charge

I spent one winter in upstate NY. I could get everyone there roaring with laughter about how Seattle handles snow. (Or doesn't actually.)
Other than that, and the cost of living, its a good city.
P. S. There are many better coffee shops there than starbucks and not many worse.
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
