I figured I'd go all in and make sure it was clear. I had a female character with a female name many years ago and had some...awkward...experiences as a result.

Reminds me of one of my first Jungle parties back in 2004.
There was a Hume female in my party named something like, "Mybubeezrreal."
Me and the Elvaan female WAR named like Diddle or Doodle or something had a good laugh about that, which made me think Doodle was a girl.
That party actually lasted from 25 to 33, so it was like an 8 or 9 hour party that even moved on over to Yhoator.
At the end I asked to add Doodle, and Doodle adds me but also says, "Hey man, you know I'm also a dude right?"
And then 14 year me had to pretend I was cool, and like I wasn't crushing hard on those pixels. "Y-yeah, of course. Duh. No girls on the internet XD!" sort of reply.

I am playing it but now Ult Freyna is out in the first descendent so Im juggling learning and doing the main story to unlock the what-if battles while playing co-workers on my laptop to going home grinding out levels in my other games or getting my cheeks clapped by burple dragon.

Then, one day, while chatting as usual, I casually implied that he was a dude, without giving it much thought, and his response was hilarious . "HOW DID YOU KNOW?!", "my advantage ;;", "don't tell others". Not sure if he was just overreacting to sound funny, but his online mannerisms screamed dude for me lol. Didn't think anyone would mistake him for a chica.
