Mmm, tried fighting Provenance Watcher again, but my BLU nuking set didn't break 2k on the fetters, and I wound up getting a doom one on top of the ones I was trying to kill with spells.

Guess I'll need another approach or better gear.

Guess I could grind out Sulevia's +1 and then get a better Great Sword, and then try the ole Mighty Strikes Souleater Resolution that served me so well for hitting the damage cap in Bayld gear back whenever I did SoA/Rhapsodies the first time. Maybe double up on stunner trusts to prevent fetters till I can get the 4 Resolutions off under MS.

Try before last I was on WAR and got it to 4 wings before I got overwhelmed by fetters. But I was just in Bayld gear raw using whatever.

Anyone got any thoughts/tips?

Prov was miserable solo. Stuns aren't fast enough/plentiful enough and you can't kill magic fetters fast enough. If you switch to them so the trusts nuke them there's 4 more by the time it dies. Miserable all round.

More mab and/or be rdm so you can kill the fetters.

AND! You need to hit at least one proc to get the atma if you care about that, even during cap lights event. Really annoying to do with trust.

How many of you fellers read on a kindle/tablet etc

How long did it take to feel not weird. It makes sense. No wasted trees. No shipping. No delay. Cheaper. Doesn't eat up space. But just feels awkward.

Never got a kindle. My friend Duncan in the Navy had one, and honestly, it seemed like the best asset is giant hands for those things. He could hold it in one hand, his thumb at the bottom and his fingers up top, and just read it absent mindedly while doing other stuff with his free hand.

Dude had prodigiously large hands though. He was 6'4, and could fit a basketball between his thumb and middle finger.

There's definite benefits to the tactile reading process of paper and type over a screen, and I still think the value in owning hardback books exists. I can respect the versatility and functionality of a Kindle,etc....they're just not for me.

I'm so tired of watching all this gaslighting lol.

The rog ally is $700 "It's so cheap omg!" seven hundred dollars. Not cheap. Not budget. ***is asinine. Goalposts ain't even on the field anymore.

Throw away your steamdeck and buy this too! It's such a bargain!

$700 isn't bad for it at all, especially when compared to similarly specced NUCs or laptops. Not sure you understand the need to offset engineering costs in the initial run of a product or not, but aside from the cost of the hardware itself that's in there too. ROG is also considered a boutique brand.

It's $50 more than the 512gb steam deck while being significantly more powerful and just as if not more versatile. With the chip in that thing it'll match last gen midrange PCs. That's insane.

Handheld PCs are luxury products to begin with. If $700 is too much for you for a piece of cutting edge tech, you aren't the target demographic. Can't wait to get my preorder in!

"Not bad" is not "so cheap it's mindblowing"

Everyone pretending to lose their ***over $700 and calling it cheap. That's what I'm talking about. Call it what it is.

Also I'll add that it's around the same price as all the upcoming Chinesium Zen4 handhelds while having an actual warranty and support line, and probably much better QA and build quality.

No, it isn't cheap in terms of it costing $700, but for what it is in the tech space it is a lower price than I'd have expected.

Also also, $700 is for the top end SKU. There'll be cheaper ones more in line with cheaper decks.

I've read 1 book on a kindle. I've read the same book on a cheap samsung tablet and along with 8bit theater. Given the choice I'd get the latter again.

RE: Asus;

I've found that sometimes their products can be hit/miss. Been buying their stuff for over a decade and I have some great stuff from them and some ***stuff from them. I'm curious as to how well this works. It's definitely not for the "plug and play" folk though, which is rather neat about the steamdeck (for most things).

It really isn't a lot, esp in todays current market with literally everyone raising prices on anything they can. There are figures that are worth more than that. Inart joker with rooted hair going for 1k+. Statues regularly float towards those prices. Thats not even anything hardware related, just how it is today. Its not rich to afford it either, I'd say thats a pretty mid class purchase. Rich would be someone spending 10k+ on a watch.

That said, I kinda fell off caring about the handhelds. I think even Sony is coming out with one soon, so I will just wait and see. The steam deck was fun but I found the tinkering to be really annoying and just played it here and there. I also think my tablet is way better to play emulated games on that have it available for android w/ps5 controller, so I've just played mostly on there w/OLED screen. I think most like the steam deck mostly for the switch and current gen gaming though so it would be nice to do that on something stronger.

I mostly want it to play around with and see what I can do with it software wise. The hardware is so much stronger than the steam deck, it should be more fun to futz with.

So ive decided to build more 2 1$ mule just to grab a creel of moat carp (***is not dropping) and extra cash with acc/spark

But damn,,, leveling both to 99 is making me seriously considering subbing one of my old chars only to cleave.

No way in hell i will vanilla lv two chars with near zero RoV kis, and they arent worth the effort of doing so anyway

During next month she will take my sexy mithra to 99 in all jobs

I already did it for 4 vanilla way, i dont see any merit going on further with this suffering while most party goes even further than master.

Plus, mastering is something will take a long while, not a point hopping zone to zone just to find the nex IT mob

I've leveled like 8 characters to 99 without RoV over the last couple years, it's not that bad really. The guides aren't super helpful though cause they expect you to have RoV KI so they think certain levels are better than they are when you are doing it the first time.

The only good part of that is you can get enough tabs to never run out again.

If you’re rich, $700 is nothing.

I only paid $1500 for my entire car, so I can tell you I’m not spending $700 on whatever you are talking about.

I am definitely not the target.

$700 is half the money I get for an entire month.

It is what it is.

I have a former boss who is really into AI and figuring out how to use it to start a business.

The gist of it is that there are many videos that tell you how to "easily" make money off of AI, but he is discovering that there are barriers to entry preventing your average Joe from actually doing any of them. It still requires a lot of effort even if the AI is doing some of the legwork.

The ones that don't work and the ones that take work.

A.I isn't in itself going to make anyone rich.
It's going to allow you and anyone who generates any kind of value, to do so, just that faster. Depending on the type of work, often far better quality too.
It's a productivity enhancer. One still needs to offer value in exchange for value.

Since chatgpt first came out I've been using it for hours a day, at work and at home.
What can you do with it to generate income?

#1: Any kind of copy writing. If you're a good copy writer and understand how to brief and be briefed, chatgpt can exponentially increase your output.
some copy writing work I use chatgpt for gigs on fiverr:
A. Job descriptions. I've always charged 300$ for a well written resume or/and job description. Depending on how bat-***crazy the client is, this can take anywhere from 2 hours to 12. (Pre-chatgpt)
I've dropped my gig to 150$ and I will commit to a first draft within 2 hours of accepting the order. I'm getting 5x as many orders.
B. Strategy presentations - this would take me days normally to complete. I can do this now in a couple of hours
C. Integrated Marketing Communications campaigns. Same as above
D. SEO - 10-20 hours work can be done now in 2-3. Just have to know how SEO/SEM work to know what kind of quality you're sending the client and fix if need be. But as long as you've prompted chatgpt right and keep that conversation open, it gets better and better at understanding what you consider "quality"
E. Social media + Blog posts
F. Scripts - audio and visual
G. Tutorials - I started with ***I knew well. Strategy, marketing, HR, Transformation & change management. Now I'm dishing out tutorials about ***I barely know and testing.
MOST IMPORTANTLY: and this has changed my life
"Generate a formal response that sounds both warm but professional to the following email, noting I will not be able to meet next week. Come up with a professional reason. Dont exceed 300 words"
Copy past email from colleague or someone into chatgpt, viola.

With MS copilot around the corner, which will be able to listen in on MS teams meetings, transcribe the meeting, summarise it, export project plans into MS projects, and setup calendar invites for follow up meetings, as well as monitor whether or not you've started working on some deadline fast approaching, ***is going to get absolutely insane.

Ah ***. Right when I'm about to start grinding out XIV's PVP reward track before it changes next month, my PC starts bloody dying. Taking 10+ minutes just to boot up, programs take 5+ minutes to start after clicking on them (though admittedly, once opened once they start up immediately next time), and just generally taking forever to do simple ***. It's not even that old. (y'A')y
