I don't use any social media, they are all garbage and waste your time in a completely stupid and fruitless way. I'm talking purely financially, twitter is a tiny social media platform compared to the rest and because it's so small the growth potential is massive.

Twitter has been a small ideological platform for years, and there was aggressive gatekeeping to keep it that way by the staff and management. That is now (or soon will be) gone, and if it can become an open to all platform that is seen as having no bias in any direction it's going to attract a massive audience really fast.

I don't care who owns or runs it though, I'm still not using it or any of them.

Lol, yoko taro's gacha game is shitting the bed in some regions, so to go along with the servers shutting down, they're adding a story finale arc that deletes your account when you finish the final cutscene

Decided my Byakko attempts were still took shaky on RDM with Trusts at 75, so I said fug it and tried out DRK.

Went DRK/thf for TH and Sneak Attack on WSes. Cobbled together an Absorb set with +12 Dark Magic skill, 11 macc, all the enhance absorb plastron pieces, and used Marine Stewpot, of course.

Decided to roll with Mihli Aliapoh instead of Qultada(or Ullegore or Teodor). Extra heals did come in handy, as well as extra paralynas. She did run herself outta MP by the half way point.

It was a quick and exhilarating fight. Stewpot Macc let me get no resists on my absorbs, and I stuck Bio II on Byakko, and gave him a stun.

Shantotto did Empirical Research just then, so I SA Cross Reaper for 4794, 1394 distortion, and she MB'd it twice for around 1200x2. Byakko insta Perfect Dodge, and I just know I'm gonna wreck him.

It was a little closer than I liked in the end, but he went down shortly after my second weaponskill. Shantotto closed Fusion, and MB'd Fire twice. Then I finished him off with a Souleater hit right after Valaineral died and he turned his Triple Attacking *** to me.

Full drops and a big grin for me, doing outdated 2003/4 content. Weeee!

Yoko Taro is a weird guy, it makes me sad he made such an amazing game with Nier Automata and he doesn't really seem to want to put that same effort into a new game. Maybe he just makes so much off Nier Automata residuals that he doesn't care anymore, or maybe it was such a slog he doesn't wanna do it again.

He is still involved in games but not to the same level, he is usually just is a creative director instead of writing or just puts out trash like that gatcha game to make money.

He seems to be a huge PITA for Square, in that he wants to make crazy games nobody will buy such as shooter games and only makes good games people want from him when he has to do it.

i got the job i was interviewing for, it's a pay cut and PTO cut from my current job but i shouldn't be working 60-70hr weeks for like 7 months out of the year, prolly considering an hourly basis, it's a pay bump lolol

They say hybrid and in two months they'll have you in office full time. Once you've been there just long enough to have that argument with yourself about not wanting to go through the job hunt again.

They just announced Henry Cavill is leaving the Witcher to be replaced by Liam Hemsworth..pretty unhappy about that. I guess it allows Netflix to chop some zeroes off that paycheck but still.

That's why I couldn't believe my last job. But it's OK. My ex-manager got what was coming to him: his entire truss plant is dying of Covid right now. They have like two employees on site, and they're both (ironically) designers, who could be working from home. They're losing jobs left and right because they're 9 weeks out when everyone else is only 2.

Another local truss plant tried poaching me from my current position. They were offering me a lot more money, but wanted me to go into the office at least twice a week, whereas my current position couldn't realistically make that happen even if they wanted to since they're four provinces away.

Thankfully when I brought the offer to my current manager he happily matched the pay. But even if he didn't, I'm not sure how much I'd want to take the hybrid job anyway. By my math it costs about $1000 off of my salary for every day of the week I go into work for both gas and car maintenance. Even just at two days per week at that hybrid job I'd be losing out. And if they ever decided to make it full-time onsite I'd be screwed...
