lol, once you start watching stuff at 200% everything gets weird. You can't come back from it.
*** this 20 minute video, i'll watch it at double speed though. You start to realize just how much wasted time and *** goes into everything when you're watching it in fastforward.

Also, i didnt read the drama but i guess i could share my own method to avoid it despite being one that normally provoke the others.
Never reply more than once for a potential drama topic. Make sure you get your point straight, then just close whatsapp, site or any other social media, stay away for a couple of hours. And if you feel the other party will insist in the drama, just dont look at the reply. 100% of time, not reading an angry replay never made any difference to me.
I follow my own golden rule: i dont need to have the last word, neither the penultimate. Thats something only the ego needs not the person.
Win over the ego, then live a better life.

I didn't even know this was a thing until about 5 months ago when a few friends started talking about listening to podcasts at 200% and they could no longer stand hearing conversation at "regular" speeds.
Man, whatever happened to just enjoying conversation for the sake of it, not just to glean the information as fast as possible? I'm not a hard drive.
It's the game, man, the almighty algorithm pushes you to stretch your content. So you speed that ***up to compensate.
Like I kinda wanna see this video about this thing, but I don't want you to tell me about it for twenty minutes! get to the point! But they're disincentivized to do just that.

the thing is just cause tech giants decided to favor longer content doesn't mean ppl suddenly have more to say. the result is lots of digression and repetition to stretch the few valid points they have to 10+ minutes.

That I'll definitely give ya. But they've monetized that extra time with background ads, or even sponsor messages mid-clip like Eiryl mentioned, so those with so little to really say still have a platform that the sheep will gobble up.
I have definitely come to the belief that one of the greatest curses of the internet is causing everyone to think what they have to say actually matters a damn.
