On a much more positive note, there's been a pretty reliable leak that one of my favourite franchises are making a comeback. FromSoftware mentioned a couple of years ago that a new Armored Core was in the pipeline, and now it's been all but officially confirmed.

I'm still not holding my breath, though. It could be cancelled, or still be years out. Even more likely, it won't be targeted to the demographic who prefer the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd generation games. Armored Core 4 kinda plays closer to a Souls game with high-precision dodging being a major focus.

But even that's fine to me. If it sells well, it might open the door to a remaster of the older games. :)

Yeah, mechs are rad.

Though personally, there's something about the PS2 generation of Armored Core that hits that perfect balance for me. They're just agile enough to make use of having articulated parts, yet clunky enough to still feel like you're piloting a building-sized, steel-clad tank.

Actually 1/7 was 33k then 1/8 another 29k then 1/9 plus 26k and so forth. Returning back to Normal eventually would be nice.

i have to drive 7-8 hours tomorrow for work, what will i do? i haven't had that much time to think to myself without a lightbox to distract me (phone/TV/comp, etc)

This is the new normal. People just haven't caught up and some don't want to get caught up. Oh well.

The only thing thats really disturbing about this “new normal” is how suddenly most of the control population supposed to have were simply taken by media/government/worldwide organizations. The control of your own health, of your own economy, of your own fears and so on.

To recover this control back again, well, the first thing is impede those external entities to invade further your life. Easier said than done but probably stopping to watch (bad) news is a start, its not like all this bullcrap being produced everyday gonna add anything worthwhile in your life anyway. Like the saying: ignorance is bliss, a smart saying for our time.

Btw, did you know that all cockroaches can fly?

Except they are, but keep believing what you want. This is why we aren't allowed to talk about this here. Too many far left posters who like to berate anyone that disagrees with their opinion, and then silence/shame them and "cut them out" of their lives lol. Really ridiculous to be so hateful 24/7, everyone has different opinions.

Also in the camp of being so sick of this. It's hilarious that now most are actively harassing people for not getting the damn booster... first they hated on you for not getting the vaccine, now you're fully vaccinated (like 90% of the pop everywhere, yet somehow that doesn't help and the blame is placed on those "anti-vaxxers") and they harass you to get boosted. This has been so politicized its insane. This variant was said from day 1 to be not that much of a threat, especially to vaccinated people. Yet the panic is like we're back in 2020 again with people rushing to stores etc, such sheep.

They are glued to the news 24/7 that fearmongers to get a control on them. I watched one youtube vid, the story was about people running out to panic buy and stock up. They asked an "Expert" and he said, make sure you stock up to be safe! Of course he probably has some stakes in that business.

I've missed the inaugural two years, but tonight I'm finally going to enjoy a dish from Fried Chicken Fest. One of the things we've been doing locally pretty well recently is getting a bunch of restaurants together in friendly competition to make dishes in their own style and see who gets the most votes. Right now is fried chicken, but we've also got La Poutine Week and Le Burger Week, and I think this year they're also planning for one around pizza.

Fried chicken on a pizza? Fried chicken on a burger? Fried chicken bento box? Fried chicken with devilled eggs? Fried chicken wings? One of them uses fried chicken as a shell containing fettuccine alfredo!

fried chicken japanese curry... could be amazing. i really really want to get a good poutine. i might actually go to canada just for that. i can't get any cheese curds and i don't wanna use fresh mozza as a cheater substitute.
