Subversion is cool and all, but it's really losing its flair. Force Mind Control vs. Force Lightning isn't as concrete as you're painting it. The Mind Trick is only used to avoid conflict. It is a temporary thing which can also be used to push someone to do good things for themselves. It does no lasting harm. It could be used to cause harm, but that is not its only application. Force Lightning is a weapon, and its only use is to kill, hurt, or destroy. When you kill, hurt, or destroy, you rob whatever you're hurting of its right to life. That includes all thoughts, feelings, and decisions. They now have to contend with you, fight you, resist your lightning physically. It is an exertion of will with express intent violate the entire form of another. Contrast with the Mind Trick. If you are already strong of mind, it has no power on you. If you don't, it's still only temporary. You'll catch on eventually. If you weren't merely turned away from the Force User exerting their will over yours. YouTube Video Placeholder I remember watching this video, it does have some wonderful insights like the parallel Force and God (though im not sure about the parallel between Christ and Anakin) but i felt he kinda escalated too quickly from good parallels to some entirely subjective opinions, kinda misleading the viewers to believe what he think is the fact, because he never made clear whats fact and whats interpretation. For one, i thought super disrespectful to believe greys to be cowards because they supposely dont take part in the struggle. Whats kinda contradictory as if they had to take any side, they wouldnt be grey at all. Also, it is not that they dont take side. They actually do, and their side is to maintain the status quo, thus joining Jedi or Sith depending what side is dominant at a time. In contrast, both Jedis and Sith are disruptive. Both are belic and try to eliminate the other instead of coexisting. And there is no light without darkness and vice versa, both Jedis and Siths aren’t sustainable in a long run, so if one side somehow definitively triumphs over the other, one can theorize that would be the downfall of the entire existance, at least an existance as we perceive. Maybe achieving the next evolutionary stage. Or simply becoming extinct. Also, being grey is being human. The repentance he criticizes is exactly because those people can be honest with themselves and (try to) fix their own errors/mistake. While being in one extreme, you dont have the freedom to “analyze” something. Answers are given by default, everything inside that extreme is justified at start. He is kinda skeptical toward the grey as he just assumes that everyone that can use the Force will automatically fall to the dark side. This is just wrong, its like saying anyone isnt a murder just because they arent given a gun. Or that the only way for people to not manifest the “evil” on them is to make the people powerless, submissive. Its the total lack of faith in humanity that leads one to believe that Force should be restricted to Jedis because they (biased) can make good use of it. Finally, if he made the parallel between Force and God, he could made another parallel that God create Adam and Eve as his resemblance and taught them what was “correct” according to his own PoV. Still God gave Adam and Eve the freedom to choose to believe in him or to forge the humanity own concept of righteousness by giving them the option to eat or not the apple. Humanity decided to eat the apple, thus deciding by themselves what is “light” and what is “dark”. And thats what humanity is so its what grey represents. Damn every since the 2016 election ive had this suspicion that there are tons of bots on youtube trying to influence peoples opinions. Then today I look at some reviews on IGN and see this:
How can you even tell whos a bot anymore aside from the ridiculous names? Those futuristic movies are starting to come true. Well, anything that can be translated to money should be confronted with utmost skepticism.
Doesnt need to be bots. Bots are wise guys works. It can be low paid workers that spend their day only giving likes, giving false feedback, creating animosity in forums, etc. Reminds me the story of Driver 3 when the developers, knowing Driver 3 was no match to GTA franchise, decide to corrupt gaming magazine to give high ratings to the game, so it could sell.
Didnt last long though, but worked at first. Same concept, new methods Matrix 4 is kinda not great soooooo
But yeah, thats the world we live in now, bots bots and more bots and scams and bots and more scams and more bots, relentless Matrix will be the first movie i will watch on cinema since the last star wars, kinda read the highlight in reviewing videos telling it was not that great, i suppose that could be the case but wont change my mind anyway.
If it can give me even a couple of nice insight about the core theme that is Matrix, it will be enough to be worth Hoenstly I really enjoyed it. I never followed reviews anyway. Most of them are paid off, but I have heard a lot of negative things from real people about it but idk, i really liked it. Ive watched the first movie at least 500 times.
it's fine, it's just not great. Given an option, I'd rather watch the events between 3 and 4 that they yada yada past.
All the ***that they just kinda handwave over seems like a great movie. Well, anything can sound good, in theory. Yeah it wasn't great, but not "trash tier" like a lot of people are saying. I just don't see that at all. To me it felt a little rushed and some things felt kinda forced but overall it was enjoyable watch, it just felt like it was missing something.
Social media was just a way that the gub'ment built AI to spy on people and develop a way for prediction software.
I think part of it keeps us safer, but the other part creates discord and chaos. I assume that none of you know what is going on, but I'll place this post here because I do love being on lists. My NSA agent gets mad at me though. <3 Draylo said: » Damn every since the 2016 election ive had this suspicion that there are tons of bots on youtube trying to influence peoples opinions. At least Draylo gets it. Whoops; double post. Matrix 4 is not a great film. It is not astounding, groundbreaking, or complex and deep. It is however, a fun lil ride through a universe that hasn't put out new media in quite a long time. It didn't overdo the call backs and like 85ish% of the movie stayed pretty true to the existing content (not counting the matrix online which was supposed to be cannon, but apparently is not). I'm glad they didn't try to basically do a rebootmake like star wars did where they pretty much tried to 1 for 1 the whole thing.
Won't do the swap til next week. I'm hoping so. TBH it was kind of a pain. I should of downloaded audacity or something to do it. I used the built in windows voice recorder and it doesn't let you just back up and record over parts you messed up. Basically if i flubbed up I had to redo the whole chapter. Thankfully the book has short chapters and I was able to keep redos down after I realized how annoying it was.
I just finished leveling Rune Fencer, and it felt super weird to me. It's a tank, and it definitely plays like one, but it never really felt like it to me. It uses a two-handed sword for a weapon which, in addition to not being my first choice for absorbing damage, also doesn't scream "fencer" to me. It has light armor and a heavy weapon, and it just kinda is arbitrarily tanky. A lot of its beefiness seems locked behind the merited ability Battuta as well.
It's fun and very effective. Combined with Flash and Foil, I found myself almost never taking hits, so I altogether stopped summoning a healer trust. But yeah it just felt a bit disjoined. Am I alone in this? |
