Random Question (not FFXI related):
What's a good program for drawing with a tablet? I think I uninstalled the software that originally came with the tablet. And the software I use for my photoshopping stuff (Paint dot Net) is only good for doctoring, not drawing.

depends on the tablet. my gf uses clip studio paint for most things

Krita is pretty solid, you can try it for free off the website iirc

Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remaster pushed to February 2022.

Not really looking forward to it that much though as I'm kind of burnt out on FFVI after doing two low level playthroughs in the last year. Know that I can beat it that way makes another round of it /without/ the 4 new espers and bonus dungeon action kind of feel not worth it.

I can already play my favorite versions now so I'm not missing much. I just kind of expected it to be released this month. Oh well. Final Fantasy III (VI) for SNES was super buggy so I'm hoping that they are taking the time to make sure things work.

I kind of always do miss the Vanish > X-Zone trick though.

Kinda contradictory that people have lots of tricks to become a more productive person, but then slowly it tries to advise you to change your ways of living to become productive.

The contradiction is that you want to be more productive to have time for your ideal living. Your life is your goal and being productive is your means while the tricks turn the being productive part your goal and your life the means. Thats complete ***.

since i don't know which operating system we talking:
sketchbookpro is pretty decent and free, they have a version for PC and android, not sure about IOS.
ibs paint is OKish and free with limitations for android and IOS i believe same goes for infinity painter for android.
i also hear a lot of good stuff about procrate for IOS but it's not free.
affinity photo and gimp are also free alternatives for PC.
paint tool sai and krita have been mentioned befor, they are supposed to be good for linework stuff but, sai might be free but krita probably isn't.

and of course photoshop CS5 or better CS6 or the subscription based one but they are pricy and overkill for just starting out.

if you're looking for traditional media emulation (those need a faster PC to run well):
look into corel painter it's decent at its job but bug riddled and pricy on their website. humble bundle currently has the "create with visual impact" bundle where you can get last years 2021 version for like 1/10 of the usual price and a lot of papers and extra brushes.
rebelle 4 is pretty good at watercolor and oils emulation, i've also seen humble bundles for rebelle 3 befor which already had decent watercolors but weakers oils/acrylics than 4 so if your interested in it it's worth checking humble bundle every now and then.
artrage is also good in oil emulation.

I need a good OLED switch protective case that lets you dock and also use switch stand... hard to get both

I think that's what I had before, but I have no idea how I had it. It probably all came together in a box and that box is long gone now.

MS Paint or PDN would all be fine, but I like the way the lines turn out harder or softer depending on how hard you press with the tablet. I wonder if I can find a way to do that with PDN.

We ordered from a local pizzeria on Friday. "Tropical chicken" came with pulled chicken, barbecue sauce, pineapple chunks, onions, and a generous amount of blended mozzarella and cheddar.
