Random Thoughts.....What are you thinking?
It didn't have "horrid" graphics for the time, it actually had more expressive character models and cutscenes. They toned those down to simplify everything in the rework. Now all the characters do is nod and hang their mouths open.

Are you really I love the UI of FFXI. I really dislike the standard MMO hotbar. I think it is a primary contributor to the 'cycle' that combat becomes. Look at a mage in FFXI vs a mage in FFXIV. They literally replace spells instead of adding to them in a lot of cases. Yes, there is an argument to be made that a majority of those lower spells are no longer useful anyway. However, the hotbar structure does limit the overall amount of things basically to what will fit on 3 of them. Look at weapon skills. Sure, there may be a couple dominant WS for a job, but they also often have other utility WS that shouldn't be ignored (HP recovery, MP recovery, skillchain setup, stun, etc.).
I like the overall gameplay of FFXI so much more than FFXIV. The main three reasons I play FFXIV are the better gathering and crafting systems (which actually might be too easy at this point), it is solo player friendly, and it is story-rich. Even then, I don't care to grind out dungeons and stuff. Once I finish Endwalker (today), I'll work on getting the rest of my crafts to 90 (2 done, rest at 80+), and then I'll probably drop the game until the next story update. Every day, at least once, for the last... at least a week, I have been having a big sneeze or two. Each time, my cat is sleeping. Each time, it wakes him up. Each time he is awakened, he makes this annoyed meow twice. I swear meow #1 is: "Damn it. You woke me up". Meow #2 is "***, I'm going back to sleep". Then he kind of adjusts his head/neck and goes back to sleep. It's friggin' adorable.

The only reason I noticed them gone is because I wanted to play the OG AC because comfy. Great end to my day. yuuup. Sucks you're missing some stuff. Maybe you just haven't unpacked a particular box or something? I hope it's not lost for good... Normally when I open a box, it winds up being a mimic.

Kazakhstan 16 December 2021 Russia 16 December 2021 Thailand 16 December 2021 Japan 17 December 2021 I fully dont understand the reason for staggered release dates in (current year) the second that ***hits russia, we get a pirate and you lose money, so what possible reason is there to still do it this way. Me doing "research" (google'ing it) solved the mystery. The greatest generation was, at its youngest, old enough to serve in Korea. 1939 - early 1946 is an unnamed 1/2 a generation often referred to as war babies. Matrix Revolution gonna be my birthday event in january so all spoilers are strictly forbidden till then.
Also, just bought Xenoblade for Switch, gonna be my game for january-february Offline

As if the game they're playing wasn't designed for the PS3 - a console one generation newer than what XI was released on - when we're already up to PS5. Most mobile games have higher-quality visuals than both of the FF MMOs. Graphics are not all that makes up games. There are still lots of people who play MUDs, D&D or retro games. If someone thinks a game is better just because of the graphics, I'd love to meet them. I would make a fortune selling them some lakefront property in New Mexico. This game does such a ***job with new players.
I just saw a new guy, level 34, only his starter trust, never started records of eminence, trying to farm a magicked *** skull for TWO DAYS. Which he doesn't even need to do anymore. Felt so bad for that dude. I'm actually amazed he stuck through that ***and didn't bail after the first HOUR to be generous. That's just sad on so many levels. Aggravating that it's even possible. By the next console generation it was garbage. But that doesn't mean every N64 game looks awful: the more cartoony and stylized stuff like Banjo-Kazooie still holds up visually. Asura.Eiryl said: » This game does such a ***job with new players. - Make the installation process easier - Remove PlayOnline - Change the default settings so you don't need to spend an hour messing around with them - Make configuration settings available in-game - Get rid of that awful character-creator and just show what your character looks like in-game In there, I also would include making the "New Adventurer" content a lot clearer. They do get a few things right: making the tutorial NPCs stand out, making the tutorial optional, etc. But they fail in clarity. They could add a quick camera zoom to the Adventurer Coupon recipient and even add their location to the quest log. They could maybe even make it a Records of Eminence quest and spend an extra line of dialogue to explain how to get to that menu. And then they could consolidate all of the "New Adventurer" NPCs into that same coupon recipient. That way, the tutorial is still fully optional, but it's clear for new players where to go if they're lost. Cerberus.Immortalmoon
