I don't know how my mom managed to pull it off but I have an appointment to get my first dose of the vaccine these Wednesday. That's fun.
My mother had her first dose back in january but the second just in april.
The ***part is that wednesday she started to cough and got weaker. Today she did her covid test, and the result was positive...
My stepfather soon should start having simptoms, and so do i soonish.
Good thing though, aside being tired, she doesnt seems that bad. Hopefully it will turn ok.

Anyone who ever mentions being chipped. Remind them they aren't important enough to give a free chip to. They willingly pay to have a chip track them already.

We used to laugh at China for this kind of nonsense, the thing that gets me is nobody seems to really care and indeed will happily pay for them to be in their houses.

As you say, in reality we are already chipped. Many of us never leave our phones at home, we are always carrying them and they're always on and always tracking everything you do and everywhere you go. It's all logged and stored, incase it's ever needed.

I also enjoyed it. I have always been more curious about life after the blip. How if affected the job market, revenue, taxes, etc. Didn't expect it to be this fleshed out in FWS though.

Unless you also wipe out the conditions that supported the original amount of life in the first place, a sizable portion of all species will recover back to their original number in a relatively short amount of time. If we're looking at humans, it would only set us back to the population we had ~50 years ago.
Unless he planned on snapping more than once and at regular intervals, it was a short-term "solution" at best.

Nope, still a stupid plan. Only the intelligent species would think twice about what happened (for obvious reasons) so it wouldn't really affect everything else in the long term. Even the vast majority of intelligent species might not take anything away from it, as how many of them would even know what happened? Poof, half of them are gone, no explanation. It's not like that is going to trigger some immediate realization of the purpose behind it and cause them to conclude that their new population number is some kind of hard cap that must be preserved at all costs, especially given that only a percentage of them would have even hit the point where limited resources were a concern in the first place.
