The one night I go to bed kinda early

Since some of you have forgotten:

No politics outside of P+R.
Yes, that section is shut down.
Misinformation on COVID is not something that gets taken lightly.

I realize last night's news was big, but that doesn't change the rules. I have removed the posts around it, but taken no further disciplinary steps. There will not be another warning.

I don't understand what was wrong about the post referencing the CDC's latest extrapolation. It was cited and it is the latest scenario based on the data available on Sept 10, 2020.

Because the discussion doesn't belong here. If people could actually discuss the facts it would be fine, but it never sticks to just that, and I don't have time to babysit this thread all day.

So, since some people can't behave, no one gets to talk about it. That's just how it goes.

1st world/millennial problems: being dissatisfied with employment, no $ to further education or to persue starting a non-profit that I'd like to.

Daily grind, etc. It's a wonder I'm actually not depressed.

Tbf, lately ive been pretty unmotivated with my job.

Thats kinda because when youre already 8 years at same job, you becomes good at what youre doing, and less you learn from your co workers and bosses.

Im at a point where i start understand those psychological theories that work is a kind of humiliation. Indeed, in a free society, just my salary to justify waking up every morning just to accept being subordinate to another random person that really dont add anything to my life. And if we hadnt the work relationship, i sure would never accept a singke word of him.

Work is easier when youre brand new or work under someone you know is a real deal. Accepting subordination is easier when the hierarchy is based on knowledge or intelligence. But frustration when its a hierarchy solely based on company politics

There's a whole array of things I don't know, I detest this job for many different reasons, probably starting with the company making decisions which screws over everyone then blaming them when things go wrong.

Yes, there are so many theory and concepts of management, leadership, improvement, but that all goes to waste when a company decides its managers based on political choices.

The leader or boss has all the keys to make a job a good one or just a daily chore.

But we live only once, so if we dont feel happy where we are, its time to make a plan to move to a better place.

For most of my "working years" I managed to be self employed or doing under the table work. Longest I ever had one job was 7 years and I owned the shop. It was too long.

I have held jobs working for others, I think about 2 1/2 years was the longest.

I actually liked most of the work I have done but I do have this short attention span thing.
