Just imagine PVP similar to Dark Souls 1, but instead of having a limited healing window, each player has 99 full heals, 75% heals, 50% heals, 30% heals, and 15% heals. Then they also have infinite magic restoration, as well as weapons and spells and things that break gear in a few uses etc.

Like, just imagine fighting the same person for about 2 hours, if you're around equal skill levels(and one of you doesn't use an OP spell to one shot the other). Eventually you're fighting naked with your bare fists, because everything you were wearing is broken, and there's actually a gear carrying limit, which you're probably going to be at with all the consumables you've got.

You guys should just get a room already.

Ehh, you haven't really been able to do that since at least 2012. And I'll clue you in on that one too.

Imagine walking through a level in online mode. A Black Phantom enters your world. He ganks you in a single hit. Congratulations, your experience has been enriched by online play! :P But really, online play won't ever give you what the developer intended.

Seriously though, most of the online mechanics just let you change world tendency more easily. If you force world tendency to white, monsters have lower HP and hits are weaker. If world tendency shifts towards black, there are more monsters, high HP monsters, monsters hit harder, and certain NPCs will straight up be Black Phantoms.

Killing Black Phantoms causes -2 to Black Tendency, so you move towards white. Killing bosses causes +1 towards white. Killing NPCs, or invading people and killing them +1 towards black. iirc.

Odd, as that's the only thing I'd put on one. The rest of that crap is disgusting.
