Nah, just having a frustrating few days and that keeps springing to mind.

Only stage I ever really had problems with was Carnival Night Zone Act 2 from Sonic 3. I ALWAYS timed out. ; ;

Back on point, the Sonic water levels pretty much put a halt to all the action. It's all about running and shiz, then outta nowhere it's like, "Now you gotta stop and wait!"

My bigger issue is having to swap boots all the goddamn time. -.-HISSSSSSSSSS

You have to do this in the second dungeon in Twilight Princess too! @_@
