I still remember when I was little and they bought me this quite obviously fake gameboy that only had one crappy inbuilt game.

"Aren't you happy now you have a gameboy too like other children?"

I mean...it's the blatant lying that bothered me, almost mockery.

I was a hipster kid. Apparently, my mom bought me and my brother a game boy each, before they were popular in our area.

We had them before they were cool, of course, all we had was tetris for the longest time.

I remember my dad pimped one of our gameboys so we didnt have to use batteries anymore (he's a real Macgyver, it always worked but it always ended up looking funny)

You mean you used the wall adapter that was an official accessory?

6v dc for the original, 3v for pocket/COLOR.

No he did something with it,I cant recall what it was but we didnt have to use the adapter anymore. He probably still has it if he didnt dismantle it for "parts".
Maybe we lost the original adapter and he had to change it for some other adapter. I recall it looked funny after he was done with it.

- talking about GB Accessories, I do remember the hugge wired brick that would connect to the side for aleternate power, and one double the battery size block that would go into, where the battery slot where located at
