I don't really see why it matters for coil though.
1)If you were doing it back in the day you'd be spending enough time in the instance probably that watching them once was a drop in the bucket.
2)If you were doing them now unsynced you'd probably be doing it with people helping out and again the extra 2 minutes shouldn't matter.
3)If you are doing it level synced now you've found 7 other unicorns and see the reason in point 1.

Prae and castrum it was a problem I can agree, coil the only long ones within the instance were in 9, 12 and 13 which have no trash.

Edit: 1 and 7 also had longish ones but it was before the trash not before the boss, if the party is truly too impatient to wait all you miss out on are some generic mobs while watching the CS.
