There's just something about the whole "spoiler outrage" that sits wrong with me.

I'm not saying go out of your way to talk about it. Use spoiler tags if you remember.

But at the same time, don't have a *** conniption if someone accidentally spoils something because you haven't seen it yet. There are bigger things to worry about in life.

See that's where we get the gray area. If it's accidental spoilering that's one thing but if it's straight out "OMG THIS THING HAPPENED" or a well thought out "What do you guys think about this important event" well it at least appear as if the person thought about their decision to say something... then it's just wrong.

See that's where we get the gray area. If it's accidental spoilering that's one thing but if it's straight out "OMG THIS THING HAPPENED" or a well thought out "What do you guys think about this important event" well it at least appear as if the person thought about their decision to say something... then it's just wrong.

It's just a matter of perspective, I guess.

I just remember when TFA came out people were losing their god damn minds even with minor accidental spoilers and it was just like..."***'s sake, people. Get a grip."

I just think there's a lot of entitlement in the whole "spoiler outrage" concept.

Again, I'm not saying it's okay to be all "HEY THIS HAPPENS LOL NOW IT'S RUINED FOR YOU!"

...but I also think the disproportionate rage people get -- especially the further out from a movie/etc.'s release you get -- is completely uncalled for.

If someone spoils a game or movie for me I will have 0 enjoyment when I see the scene because I know it's gonna happen and I won't forget the spoiler even if some time passes before I actually see it for myself. It's just a *** move to talk about that stuff without spoiler tags (on a forum) or not asking the person if they've seen it before mentioning it

Maybe this is just a personality flaw on my part then.

My enjoyment of a thing is in no way connected to surprise.

I do, in fact, thoroughly hate surprises of any kind. Even good ones. Hell for me would be one continuous surprise party.
