Whenever I play a Final Fantasy game of the main (numbered) series, I feel as though it is somehow the child of the games that came before and after it.
For instance, I feel like Final Fantasy 8 is like 7 and 9 mated with each other to produce it. 6 and 8 mated to make 7, etc.
