At 17 there's a quest for Palace of the Dead, you can get large amounts of exp from it but I'd probably wait until 30 so you have your job crystal. You get to try your job at higher levels (even level 60) and if you beat it 2-3 times to 50 you can get a Padjali weapon (ilevel 235) which is a good start at 60

Well technically, Kyuubi the Yokai is a 9 tailed fox, so yes, but a traditional fox... no.

I liked Rogue but Ninja at 35 made it a lot more fun (since you get some ninjutsu to use)

Keep it around for any time you're synced to 30 or under, you get bonus exp (don't forget food bonus for another 3%)
