the reason hy they dont get 100 and 1000 is because in japanese, they literally change the counter. it's literally 1 (counter) for 10, so for 100 and 10000 it's the same....

I'm going to guess their English is probably better than your Japanese, as well.

What's a counter?

Their problem with how they wrote 4 and 8 comes from the fact that japanese is a language that is written exactly how it's spoken, throw in the foreign characters and to them writing in proper english becomes complicated.

100 and 1000 it's obvious they simply didn't know lol.

in Japanese 100 is 百 right? so if you wanted to say like two hundred you'd write like 二百.
like 100 isn't just add a 0... i can't explain it good.
but you kinda add combonations of kanji like that to make a number.
like 1million is 百万, knowing that 100 is 百, and 万 is a ten thousand. You literally add Kanji together.

it's a bit like french where... well you get the mess of say 90, it isn't say 9 and 10 together, its 40-20-10. or quatre(40)-vingt(20)-dix(10)....

Edit: ANd thats not even going properly into counters, thats flat out numbers, each kind of object in japanese has it's own counter, like money it's En/Yen. 冊/Satsu is books, so you wouldn't say 百 and then the word for books. (which is hon 本) you'd say 百冊/ hyaku satsu

That is irrelevant. Juu and hyaku are different words. Just like ten and one hundred. They wrote teeen for silliness because they outright didn't know the word.

My brother vapes, i might have to ask him to stop, his current e-liquid, which he really likes gives me migraines.

He used to smoke, but it's expensive and smells nasty.

Lina I vape as well. Are you sure the migraines are coming from the vape and not anything else around or even stress?

No it's 100% the smell. The smell is really strong. He even agreed with me when i told him that i don't like the smell of his current e-liquid is too strong.
(Really strong smells make me sick, i went into sented shop once and vomited because of the overwelming smell)

My wife has similar reactions to smells, but the liquids I use don't bother her at all. That makes sense now.
