I've owned 4 Android phones, and they have all sucked. They're sluggish, drop calls repeatedly (not due to connectivity but apparently the phone app on my phone can freeze and crash?) and require almost constant maintenance. I've had this iPhone now for 6 months and it runs like it's brand new. I think I'm stuck with iPhone.

Never had an issue with it in about the 3 years I had it.
Had a Samsung PoS before that for ~2 years, I had to get it fixed 3 times and replaced once.

I think Apple's hardware is legit; very legit, in fact. I just think the company's business practices and their Cult are both very problematic and irritating, and for me that far outweighs any product quality.

...but much like my civic voting (and television programming voting/viewing), I seem to be in the minority and the businesses/government doesn't really care what I think or prefer.

Didn't really say they should. They're businesses, they're trying to make money and to do so they have to deliver what people want.

It really depends on the type of android phone you have.
My brother uses iPhone, because he likes to show off how much better he is than the rest of the family.
My mom uses Samsung products (and by extension, my dad does also, because technologically HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE), my sister uses a mix of iphone and Samsung products.
And I use the HTC android phones. Never had a problem, and I like the interface. The only thing that sucks about my phone, is the contract fee. But less than a year until my contract is up, and I can afford a better data plan. 250MB a month is just... useless. and it's another $35 a month for 1gb of data.
