Played the ***out of it when I was little. Had the big *** travel kit as well that made the screen larger (magnified), and came with a bunch of other accessories.

I miss my Nomad,
Used to play Phantasy Star 2 and sonic on the bus otw to school. Frigging thing quit working after awhile then the screen got stuck black lol

Give Dark Souls 1 a try? It should be cheap and it's probably better than Demon's Souls (haven't tried that one myself)

Might give you some idea of how the new games are
I own at least one other Souls game, but I think I'm missing Demon's Souls 2 so I haven't played it. Even if they aren't related, I hate playing games out of order.

Demon's Souls

Dark Souls > Dark Souls 2 > Dark Souls 3

Bloodborne

I have at least 3/5 of those, I know I don't have Bloodborne, and I'm not sure if I have 2.

I thought about getting a PS4 just so I could play Destiny with some friends. I do not want to start a new character though. It'd be nice if I could swap platform like I can with 360 / One.

A good portion was not including a DVD drive which the new ps2 had, which helped sell those units, and other things internally helped put a nail in its coffin.

Also I loved my GameCube alot if good games for it, like Killer 7, Eternal Darkness, Twilight Princess

SEGA did not do themselves any favors, but the rampant piracy on the Dreamcast did scare off publishers. They already were going to face an uphill battle with that, and that was the final nail for a lot of it.

I still have my Dreamcast. The original PSO, Skies of Arcadia, and Soulcalibur ate so very much of my time.

I havnt seen a reason to get a Xbone. Most the games on it ID want you can get on ps4 anyways and their "exclusives" are kinda meh, even halo hasn't been good since bungie left

See this is the thing. More and more good games are cross-platform now, so people seldom have a reason to get both consoles. I do enjoy the Halo franchise still, so I started off with Xbox One (and later bought the Halo 5 Edition). I don't think there is anything wrong with PS4. I just simply haven't felt like buying one yet. I'll get it to complete my collection eventually, just like I did with my PS3 that has been collecting dust, but there's no rush.

Nah, we uhh, overheated our Dreamcast one winter by not paying attention to blanket alignments, and we overheated Disc 1 into not working. :(

It wasn't until I was much older that I realized there was a correlation between the days my mom was in a good mood and the days my fresh batteries in my gameboy from the night before were suddenly near dead.
