Didn't they, at some point, make Togusa use a standard issue pistol but still allow him to carry his Mateba for backup and stuff like launching tracking units? I seen to recall him putting down his issue pistol and pulling his Mateba to fire a tracker into a car's bumper.

It's actually (sort of) real, it appears to be an amalgamation of the Mateba M2006 (top) and the Mateba 6 Unica (bottom). I'd love to have a Unica. So rare and expensive though.
